Vegan hot pot made from local ingredients - Edit
On the food: while the picture of the hotpot may look rather bland, the soup itself was actually quite good.
Read moreOn the restaurant / chain behind it: Accidently found the Vuvu廚房 online (Chinese only: https://www.vuvugarden.com.tw/), and learned how they promote food with locally grown ingredients that have been cultivated by the indiginous tribes for a long time. Though most of what they sell isn't vegan, I still support the concept, and to be fair: there are not really other vegan options in the area (besides convenience stores).
They also have other restaurants that I want to check out when I get the chance.
Ps.: When asked, the staff claimed the soft ice was vegan, too, I doubt that though, and couldn't find any information on the ingredients or the actual producer.
