Review Guidelines

Writing a User Review on HappyCow allows you to share your opinion about a restaurant or store listing with other site users. As part of the HappyCow community, your review can assist others in making more informed choices. By submitting a review, you agree to abide by our Terms of Use.

What to include:

User reviews must comply with guidelines that are outlined below:

• Reviews should be as specific and detailed as possible
• Reviews must be based on firsthand experience
• Use descriptive words; be clear and concise; REFRAIN from writing in all capital letters
• Think through the pros and the cons about the business
• User reviews should be between 30 - 300 words

What not to include:

HappyCow reserves the right, but not the obligation, to refuse to post or to remove or filter any review if it contains or features any of the following:

• Offensive language
• Excessive negative comments without adding full explanation
• Information which is no longer accurate.
• Intentionally trying to hurt a restaurant or store reputation
• References to illegal activity
• Personal information, such as phone numbers, addresses, etc.
• Personal attacks against an owner, manager, or worker
• Messages that are clearly advertisements or commercial in nature
• Content other than text, such as photos or sound clips
• Content determined by HappyCow to violate any federal, state or local law or regulation, or the rights of any person or entity
• Content that is not in English, that is encrypted or contains viruses
• Content that violates the standards of good taste or the standards of this website, as determined by HappyCow at its sole discretion
