Excellent vegan food made with love - Edit
I was so happy to find this place. The restaurant itself is small with a calming atmosphere. There are two parking spaces out front and on a one-way street. It has two tables and a counter with several spots perfect for a solo traveler. The bathroom was great - spacious, beautiful and with lots of books!
Read moreOn to the food! I got the curry and it came with salad, soup, a dessert and a drink (coffee, tea or Japanese tea). The curry was half green and half red separated by rice and vegetables in the center. Fantastic flavors and such a beautiful presentation. Check out the photos. I also ordered the spaghetti with vegetables and fresh herbs to go. Delicious!
The owner is also very kind.
Highly recommend. Cash only.
Pros: Tasty food, Healthy food, All vegan! 🤗

Rich flavorful meal and tea - Edit
Dining here for lunch I discovered rich flavorful meals and tea. The menu was small and the prices were a little higher than other area vegan lunch plates, but as I discovered when ordered the curry meal, it was a fine meal which included a salad appetizer, the entree served with a selection of teas and a small fruit item for dessert. Everything was exceptionally rich and seemed as through the owner had curated a wonderful nuanced and balanced flavor where everything complemented the rest as a dining experience. I left completely satisfied.

Amazing food, a little expensive - Edit
I had the vegan (soft) omurice and it was really good! I was surprised to find vegan omurice in Shizuoka! They served two kinds, a soft “runny” version and one a little more firm.
Read moreMy friend got the curry of the day and it was fantastic! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it.
The owner was friendly and happy to talk with us. :)
I would definitely recommend this place!

Exceptional food and service - Edit
We had the spagetti menu with small soup and desert. Everything was great, but the spagetti was outstanding. So flavourful yet simple that is very hard to find! It was our best dish so far in our Japan trip. Highly recomennded!

Delicious! - Edit
I had lunch here today with my friend and her daughter. After living in Japan for over 19 years I finally got to eat omurice! It was really good. The others had the hamburg which they said was good too. The lunch plate came with salad, soup and a drink. I loved everything.

Elegant vegan set course restaurant - Edit
Vedge a la mode has an elegant feel with beautifully plated dishes. The cuisine is a mix of Japanese and western and it was delicious! The food comes out in courses, so I felt fancy eating there. The restaurant is 100% vegan and they also have some gluten-free options for those who need that and the restaurant seems understanding of dietary restrictions and needs in general, so I think this would be a good place if you're a vegan with allergies.
Read moreMy friend and I got two different dishes and then split them, which ended up being wonderful because we got to try so many different foods on the menu. My friend got the omurice, which is a Japanese classic that I had never tried, and it was amazing!
Come and give this place some love! :)
