Vegan paradise!

Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.

We had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!

They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.

Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

Really tasty food!

Really tasty food for vegans and for people whose transitioning, there’s a lot of options. It’s really close from the old street station!

Pros: Tasty food, Really well located , Benefits goes for the animals!

Cons: It’s a bit hidden

Good but could improve

I was soooo excited to eat there that my partner and I ordered loads of food! We had the fried mixed plate: seitan bites, tofish fingers, onion rings and cauliflower wings. Most of it tasted samey and wasn’t salty enough but the seitan was delicious. For mains we had the steak and the moving mountains burger. The steak was tasty but nothing special (quite a small portion too) and the moving mountains burger was great - if you like the actual taste of beef. I was a little freaked out. Would be nice to get fries with the burger. Also had the brownie - it was ok, the ice cream however was out of this world. I did think the dishes were way too expensive for what you get but knowing all profits go to a vegan cause made it feel less like a rip-off. Hopefully the food will improve over time, they have only just opened so I assume they are still figuring things out. Staff were lovely though!

Absolute must-visit

So glad to have found this place, I had a toasted sandwich and it was one of the most delicious things I've ever had. The artwork on the wall was awesome and I love the purpose it has. I was incredibly jealous of the burger a couple of tables away so excited to try that next time!

Pros: Incredible food, Great art, Lovely service

Cons: None

great experience

Went for the second time today, had the loaded sweet potato fries, 2 of the burgers, cauliflower wings and for desserts the pie and a cheesecake. Everything was delicious! The staff was really attentive. And the best part is the non profit concept. Definitely one of my top 3 favourite places in London

BEST FOOD IN LONDON

The staff and vibe at unity is incredible and while you’re having lunch you feel like you’re contributing to the animal rights cause as proceeds go to establish a future sanctuary and campaigns!
Surge founders are often there and happy to have a chat - the friendly environment just makes the whole experience the better
the food is the best I’ve had in London and will make you want to come back for sure
Get the moving mountains burger and the cheesecake!

The best birthday treat!!

Went without making a reservation but the guys were kind enough to seat us anyway within 2 minutes

Had a browse of the extremely well planned menu and went for the Chicken SEITAN Burger and Full English breakfast and IT BLEW OUR MINDS!!

The breakfast sausage is some Godblessed-seitan wonder which is better than any sausage replacement I have ever had and the burger is really well seasoned and PACKED with all the good stuff!
I was hesitant regarding the pretzel buns initially but they work perfect with the meal

Staff so kind and helpful I wanna just hug everyone and thank them for an amazing experience!

Will come back ASAP!

Not to mention did not even realise Earthling Edd is responsible for this heavenly feast! He was one of the people who helped me so much at the beginning of the journey.

Pros: All the seitan!, Lovely staff, Amazing artwork and atmosphere

Cons: NONE

MUST-GO!

Absolutely Gorgeous. The food, the location, the staff, everything was ON POINT and more than delicious.
We went there for breakfast and the presentation and taste was amazing.
Secret Tip: Take the Oatmeal or the Fruit Salad (The coconut yogurt is stunning)

Go there and i promise you won't regret it.

Pros: Everything Vegan with gluten-free options

Cons: Price was justified by food quality and big sizes

Amazing food

In London this weekend (coming from North Wales), on the list of things to do, was lunch at the Unity Diner.
It didn't disappoint. Wonderful food , Tofish burger with the best chunky fries and potato wedges I have ever eaten , followed by cherry and apple pie with vanilla ice cream . Great service , the staff were very friendly, and it was great knowing that any profits go to Surge. We will be visiting again !

Pros: Great menu, warm inviting ambience

Cons: None

Wonderful

The food is delicious and they have some really interesting options on their menu. The staff is so lovely and there is a nice, relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. We loved the decor as well, and the vibe of this place. Also, it's great that all their profits go to animal rights organisation. I'll definitely be back 😊

Pros: Delicious food, also we got to meet Earthling Ed

Fantastic

If I lived closer I’d honestly be here every week! The food was amazing, even though on the day I visited their fridge was broken meaning limited food options. What I did order was SO tasty- 10/10! They’d also ran out of ketchup?! But that didn’t spoil my visit at all. I ate so much that I was too full for a pudding, so I’ll definitely be back as I want to try the cheesecake.

Pros: Spoilt for choice, Money for a good cause, Stylist decor

Don’t waste your money

The food is bland, greasy and practically cold. Such a let for a good concept.

Sadly the menu is very limited and you’ll wait a long time for your food, despite having plenty of staff.

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing

Cons: Long wait, Bland food, Disappointing menu

When I went I also noticed that although there were many waiters, service was slow and not efficient. Waiters were just hanging around not knowing what to do. I agree that the food was not good though it looked good.

Bit disappointing

We went on Friday lunch time and the service was pretty dire. Not sure what was happening in the kitchen but people who arrived more than half an hour after us had actually eaten and left before we even got our main courses. The food was OK - but not having any gluten-free burger buns despite the Surge burger being listed as a gluten-free option isn't great.
I know it's only recently opened, so I hope to go back in a month or so and update my review more positively.

Pros: Really nice decor and atmosphere

Cons: Such a long wait for food, Gluten-free options not great

A 100% Must Go

This non-profit diner is wonderful. I was spoilt for choice when I looked at the menu and to know my money was 100% going back into the animals is great.

The atmosphere and ambiance are lovely and if you’re considering going, I would highly recommend you do so.

Pros: 100% vegan through and through. , 100% of the money goes back to the animals., Wonderful atmosphere and great value for money.

Exactly what London needs!

I’ve been here three times already and I absolutely love the place..the food, decor, and the friendliest staff you could ever wish to meet. Not to mention that the venture is totally non-profit.
The menu is varied and ranges from healthy salad items to burgers and seitan steak, with all sorts of amazing desserts and appetisers thrown into the mix.
Additional outdoor seating, a great range of alcoholic and soft drinks, along with the fact they are pet-friendly and very reasonably priced makes it very hard to find fault with this inspiring diner.
Look forward to returning this week!

Pros: Awesome food, Beautiful decor and welcoming staff, Killer booze selection!

Cons: None

Best diner in London

Unity Diner has exceeded all expectations. The chef is a vegan wizard. Pub classics have been reinterpreted, and the presentation is top notch. I’ve been twice already in the couple days since opening. The Moving Mountains Burger and potato wedges have so much flavour and freshness. The vegan BLT is wonderful and if you are very hungry or willing to share, the loaded chips were out of this world - like British nachos, melted cheeze and vegetables but with unexpected additions like pomegranate, seeds and goji berry sauce.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen is quick to accommodate the busy lunch crowds. And the decor fresh and bright with original art, plans and neon sharing their mission of animal compassion.

Pros: Big portions, Great space, Outdoor seating
