AVOID ! Rude, arrogant staff and heavily processed unhealthy "fake meat!"

I have been telling all the local residents I know (and I know several!) in the area this restaurant is situated in, to avoid this place at all costs! Staff were very rude and argumentative when they found out that I was a meat eater who was also raising awareness for a cause promoting dog abuse. I was basically called a hypocrite! Unfortunately for them, they pissed off the wrong customer - that too the most connected local resident in the neighbourhood, and as a result, they have lost ALL the local resident customers that I know of! Serves them right. I have been spreading the word in the neighbourhood, and have told neighbours to do the same. Spitalfields is a very small neighbourhood, and neighbouring Aldgate, Whitechapel and City of London etc - are all connected. Despite my local social gatherings, events and charity fund raisers, I have also done several networking events in the past, so I also know several people who work next to the neighbourhood, especially in the financial district that come in to the neighbourhood for lunch, evening drinks dinner etc. So I have told them too! Being part of local residents groups and associations, societies etc - not only helps my work, but also gets me a lot of local support. Let's just say word of mouth is still very much a powerful tool, and word gets around pretty fast in this neighbourhood that is not only small, but still retains its "villag-ey" feel. The manager Kevyn has emailed me and apologised for his behaviour but the waitress Tamara has not done so. I was told they were dealing with the matter internally but there has been no update since then. The waitress has some nerve arguing aggressively with a customer, in front of other customers. This made it awkward for other diners. I told her off of course. I am the kind of customer that does NOT put up with rude service! I have reported the incident to the vegan activist "Earthling Ed" who owns this restaurant, but there has been no response. He should teach his staff to be as calm as he is! And don't even get me started on the "fake meat!!!" I wonder why so many people out there are stupid enough to buy in to this "vegan meat" crap, without thinking about it properly. In order to make it look and taste like actual meat, it has to be processed heavily and often contains way too much salt/sugar. Besides, a lot of animals do get injured, die etc - in the process of farming vegetarian foods. Do your research and find out for yourselves!

Cons: Rude staff, Heavily processed fake meat, Vegan farming is not as ethical as everyone thinks
