Vegan paradise!

Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.

We had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!

They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.

Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

Brilliant food

Had a trip to London and visited here with my meat-eating partner who loved the food just as much as I did. We had the Mac and cheese to start which was incredible and the kofta which was delicious. I had the to-fish which was good but maybe a little too fishy for my taste but you can see why people rave about it. My partner had the steak which he also enjoyed. For the price of the steak in particular we felt the presentation of the plate could have been more thoughtful and creative like some of the other dishes. His steak was served next to chips and peas but this could have been presented better! Overall a great experience and a must visit.

Pros: Fully vegan, with profits going toward animals, Mac and cheese is a must try , Great decor and ambience

Cons: Presentation of the steak

Excellent lunch!

I had one day in London and was so happy to eat at Unity Diner! My teenage boys and husband had the burger and fish and chips and I had the mushroom and kale dish. So good! I was kind of hoping for some photos of Earthling Ed and information about his santuary, but still a great experience!

Pros: Food, All vegan, Cocktails

Small portions, too expensive

We went to Unity Diner in London, and as Spanish tourists, we felt scammed. We ordered a steak (£24) and my partner chose a lunch deal for £15, which included a drink, side, and main course. She ordered a small fish and chips. When paying, the waiter ignored the lunch deal and charged us as if it were the full-sized version, despite us confirming multiple times about the lunch deal. Additionally, the 'side dish' was the same small portion of fries from the fish and chips, with no option to choose anything else. It didn't seem like an honest mistake.

One of the best in London!

Have been wanting to try Unity Diner since forever and I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint!!
I ordered the Tofish and Chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce and it was the best “fish” I’ve experienced in all the years of being vegan. Excellent texture, great flavor (not too fishy for those that don’t like that) and the chips and peas were excellent.
Lovely, friendly service. I can see why so many people put Unity at the top of their favourite list!
Also has burgers, salads, small plates, desserts so plenty of options!

Delicious

The food here was absolutely amazing. I got the spam salad and my partner got the redefine meat steak and both meals were gorgeous! The salad dressing was super mustardy and bursting with flavour and the steak was the best vegan one I've ever had!

Super food and ethos.

The staff are great, the food is delicious and the company's ethos is amazing. I'd expect nothing less from Earthling Ed, though.
I had the nofish and chips followed by the creme brule. Both dishes were amazing, but the creme brule was just something special.
And the icing on the cake, all the profits go to animal welfare charities.
If you live in or are visiting the Spitalfields area, you must visit.

Pros: Great food., Fabulous ethos., Lovely staff and atmosphere

Great Food, Great Vibes

As a vegan for ethical reasons, I HAD to hit Unity Diner during my few days in London. As most readers probably know, Earthling Ed was one of the founders— and it’s also a nonprofit! As you walk in, THE FUTURE IS VEGAN is proclaimed in neon. There’s plenty of seating and the place is very clean and nicely kept. Friendly staff. I got the “tofish n chips” and it was all I’d hoped for - in fact, if it wasn’t a 100% vegan restaurant, I’d have been worried that they’d accidentally given me real fish flesh. The taste and consistency were spot on. And the chips were yummy. I got a good hoppy IPA to drink made by a company that works to end plastics pollution in the ocean. Very cool. Wish I’d had room for dessert because they sounded great but the portions were very generous and I couldn’t even finish. I think the prices were completely fair given the quality and portion size (my tab was 27 pounds) and especially knowing that this business is giving back.

Pros: The excellent re-creation of classic British food, The pictures of happy, valued animals on wall, The cleanliness, including the bathroom

Cons: An IPA on draught instead of bottle would be nice

Delicious diner style vegan food

Really tasty food and a good selection of cocktails too if that’s your thing! All for a good cause as the profits you back to helping the animals

Wonderful experience and amazing food

We were a group of 8 and fit very comfortable in one big table. The staff was incredibly nice and everything we ordered was perfect. The place is beautiful, lots of vegan art and decoration. Half of the table weren’t vegan and they really enjoyed the food. It’s a must when in London.

Pros: So many options, Welcoming

Awesome

I can’t really add anything here. Everything’s been said about this place and I can just agree that it’s incredible.

I wish all vegan restaurants operated at this level.

Incredible

Absolutely lovely vegan place in London - not only the food but also the atmosphere and the fact that profits go to animals. The only negative point was that I had trouble choosing from all the amazing things on the menu. Will come again when in London. Recommend booking a table.

even better than expected!

It would be vegan blasphemy to give anything but 5 stars to Unit Diner anyway, it I was quite surprised by how much I loved the food! The steak burger (with redefine steak) was incredible. The portion of fries was filling and a great pair. Nice vibe and people.

Really Nice Place

This restaurant was amazing. The food was really good and there were a lot of quite interesting options, like 3D printed steak! I loved just how vegan it was - the decorations were so nice. Staff were friendly as well.

Too Good To Be True

I am following Ed Earthlinged from years and I read his first book Vegan Propaganda too, so I was curious to try his vegan restaurant. We started with amazing Tofish Bites served with sauce and Chimicurri New Potatotes. Then as main dishes our choices were
Chicken Kale Caesar Salad and OG Steak Burger (superb!). But Ice Cream Waffles dessert impressed me: rate 10! The restaurant profits go directly to Surge Sanctuary. Go now and try it: the future is vegan.

Food really well done

I thought the menu looked pretty basic so had low expectations but every single dish we tried was sublime! They'd really paid attention to detail to make every thing as delicious as possible.
We had the chick'n burger (with basil mayo) and the redefine steak burger (3d printed!), with mac and cheese and spring greens to start. We also tried the kombucha and the turmeric honeycomb oat latte.
The staff were also very nice and the inside was spacious and well decorated (although a lot of vegan propaganda, just as a warning in case you're bringing any resistant omnis).

Pros: Really really tasty, Simple but well done, Friendly
