Vegan paradise!

Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.

We had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!

They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.

Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

Disappointing

I really wanted to love this place, especially as the profits go to animal campaign work, but I was disappointed. I think its great for people who like meat substitutes but not all vegans want that, so some options that don’t mimic meat would be great. The tofu fish and chips was great, the taste and texture were very realistic. The decor was great too.

Pros: Realistic meat / fish substitutes, Decor, Profits go to animal campaigns

Cons: All meat substitutes

The best Tofish in London

Have the tofish and chips. Ask for the chips without paprika. Enjoy!

For dessert I had the signature baked cheesecake it was delicious! It was creamy and amazing but SMALL. Have two slices or order the substantially bigger chocolate salted caramel cake. You won't regret it.

Pros: Big venue with lots of seating, Fully vegan, Not for profit... supports vegan outreach

Excellent

We had the "Christmas roast", a hot dog with mac & cheese and the "dirty loaded fries" which were all really delicious. When we are back in London, we will definetaly eat there again. The service was also great, the staff is really friendly.

Amazing

Loved it-food is genuinely incredible (had mozzarella sticks & tofish & chips as well as sharing a sundae & trying hash brown chips & my friends’ choices). All were amazing.
Cannot recommend this place more highly-great decor, lovely vibe, incredible food & it all helps animals.
Seriously, go here & support if you possibly can. It’s the bomb.

Pros: All vegan, Non profit-all the profits go to help animals , Food is superb

Cons: None

Amazing food and experience

ent there for lunch by myself and everything was great. I ordered crispy mozzarella sticks, they were delicious and the sauce was insane. Then I got a Hot dog with bacon and Mac 'n cheese, it was Heaven. The flavours and textures were mind blowing. I had the salted caramel cake for dessert and It was crunchy but soft and, great cake. The portion sizes were good too.

The staff was really kind and helpful at all times, they had good presence and were really nice to be around.

Brilliant birthday lunch

Three of us went for a birthday Sunday lunch, two vegans, the other with multiple rare and severe allergies. The staff could not have been more helpful with the allergies, and the chefs even made two different replacement sauces. Friendly, helpful but relaxed even though it was obviously busy. The food was great. Two different burgers and prawnz plus fries. We saw the desserts and would have loved to try them but were far too full. Thinking of returning to eat dessert only! Not cheap but I would prefer to go out less frequently and support an organisation like this. Looking forward eagerly to our next visit. Thank you!

Pros: Excellent help with allergy issues, Great food - not one single negative here, Friendly service

Nice staff, nice place, had a nice time. Food was pretty good but wouldn't really say it was good value. The dessert was decent though.

Pros: Nice dessert, Good service, Cool place

Brilliant food

Went for lunch with friends and shared starters, a salad and both kinds of fries. Everything was really tasty. The prawnz are amazing and if you haven’t had hash brown fries before, you need to try them! It isn’t cheap, but we were pleasantly surprised when the bill came and were full even though we hadn’t had a main each. Friendly, relaxed service. Try to avoid sitting by the kitchen if you can- we all came out smelling of fried food.

The best Vegan food I've ever had!

After visiting Unity for my Birthday I decided it was the best Vegan food I've ever had - and I've had ALOT!
The whole experience from start to finish was amazing.
Staff are super friendly.
Great atmosphere.
Lovely decor - especially loved the artwork on the walls at the toilets.
Fast service.
AMAZING food! We had the Tempura Prawnz and Tofish Bites to begin with - honestly these are amazing! I can't believe how prawny the prawns tasted! My partner, who isn't vegan especially loved the Tofish Bites.
I then had the Surge Burger which was insanely good.
I was far too full to have dessert so I got a slice of the Salted Caramel cake to take away - probably the best cake I've ever had!
If I lived in London, I would be here all the time!
Can't wait to visit again when I'm next in London

Pros: Insanely good food, Great atmosphere, Friendly helpful staff

Cons: I wanted to try all the menu!

This place is epic!

Super impressed with the new restaurant (loved the old one too!) Love the decor, the artwork, the wallpaper near the loos. The food was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. We will definitely be coming back for more soon! Best part is it’s not for profit, it’s for the animals! 💚🌱

Delicious!

I had the tofish and chips and it was incredible. I’m not local, so I didn’t realize it, but they get really busy so you should make a reservation. The atmosphere reminded me of what I see in Los Angeles- High ceilings, brightly lit, warm wood, and plants. Would definitely recommend!

Oh my goodness!!!!

Well when I saw the prices I first thought oh well but it was worth every pence. I had the tofish and chips, it was so delicious. Not too much meat like but enough to make my non-vegan boyfriend trying to eat my dish. He had a poké-bowl which was okay. He said it tasted like real salmon.
Although for the price range there could have been more sauce with the tofish.

Awesome food

Visited at the old location, had the fish, chips & mushy peas. Great diner/pub grub, incredibly filling and very tasty. Could only visit once which was a shame given all the goodies on the menu.
Did squeeze in a dessert which was also awesome, plus all the staff were super friendly.

Vegan ethos

November 2018 review: Couldn't fault the food, traditional diner food veganised. As it was my first visit I had to try the moving mountains burger (with the added bacon). It really was tasty with all the fillings, I particularly liked the pesto. I followed that with a large slice of baked cheesecake which was really good.
The atmosphere was relaxed. They got fairly busy (but not totally full) and although there was a lot of conversation it never got too loud.
Service was friendly and they welcomed feedback.
The location is good, not far from Old Street tube and on a nice little square.
And there is that added bonus that you are supporting their vegan ethos.

October 2019 update: They have now moved to new premises in Spitalfield. More seats, lovely decor, expanded menu, cocktail bar, more lively atmosphere (the music was louder). Still 5 stars!

Pros: All vegan, Tasty food, Relaxed atmosphere

Interesting menu

I visited when it was located near Old Street. I had the Surge Burger: mushroom/cashew patty on pink beetroot bun, GBP10. The bun bottom didn’t hold up to the moist patty.
Be aware that 12.5% is added to bills. Profits support Earthling Ed and his animal advocacy work.

Shrimps // Burger // Bowl // Pie

So we had, as a starter: a shrimps-thing with a dip, which was good.

As a main dish I had a burger which was very tasty, came with sweet potato fries, the usual suspects...

My friend took a salad bowl with eggplant, tahine and a bunch of other stuff. Looked really good as well, and she made noices that led me to believe it actually was.

Salted caramel cake at the end was ridiculously good, take me to heaven. I am ready to die.

Pros: Profit goes to a good cause: animal welfare, Food is delicious, Friendly staff // Chill location

Tasty junk food

Tofish is defo the best I've ever tried!
Food was nice, I was unlucky - they run out of the Caesar salad on the day of my visit, so I did miss something green, but overall very tasty.
Service was very attentive, polite and helpful, a lovely bunch!
They also serve beer made from leftover bread which I found an excellent idea (and ethical!).

Pros: great service, fully vegan and ethical

Cons: not enough greens to balance out the fried options

Amazing food, for the animals!

The food is amazing! I had the tofish starter and it was great with the tartare sauce. Then had the Surf N' Turf Dog which was totally tubular, and finally the special cake of the day, Salted caramel, the best cake I've ever had.

Pros: Very friendly, great staff., Super quick service!, Excellent food, and for the animals :)

Cons: It was hard to choose what to have!
