Vegan paradise!

Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.

We had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!

They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.

Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

If you haven’t already been here, do!!

Probably the best vegan place in London; I would come every week if I could. Food is amazing, standouts are the tofish and chips, all of the starters Ana’s actually, scratch that, the whole menu is standout

Pros: 100% vegan, Not for profit , Amazing food

Great fisch & chips

Has the vegan fish and chips, not tried this sort of thing before and was amazed how well they have recreated the taste of one of my old favourites. Chips were chunky and crispy & the mush peas were sublime. We’ll chuffed and the joint is doing a great job of highlighting what can be created plant based - The future IS vegan

Pros: Great fish & chips , Laid back vibes , Friendly staff

Great to have a vegan diner

Great variety of food and some profits go to a good cause. That may explain the slightly steep prices, even for London. The seating is nice, some of the food we liked like the “chicken” burger and the salad, others wasn’t to our taste - not a fan of the shrimps and moving mountain Hot Dog. Best to book a table here.

Top marks all round

I’m on a mission to visit as many vegan restaurants in London as I can. Unless, the restaurant is local to me (within a 15 minute drive) I won’t go back.

This is the first vegan restaurant which I want to visit again and soon. It’s really, really good and my meat eating friend was super impressed as well.

Friendly, attentive staff with a great selection of food. It reminds me of By Chloe but classier because of plates & cutlery and the food is slightly better too. So all the By Chloe fans who are missing their favourite vegan chain should come here instead.

Pros: Friendly Staff, Great Food

Cons: Have to book in advance, Hard to get a table

Mixed Experiences

I've visited Unity Diner twice now and have to say I had very different experiences both times. My first visit I made the mistake of ordering cocktails, which although have great names, are unfortunately overly sweet and expensive. I also found the Surge burger to be a bit stodgy (plus you have to order chips separately!).

However, on my second visit I ordered Wild Thing Merlot which was delicious and the Tofish and Chips which was hugely impressive! Would definitely recommend order this if you choose to visit.

The ambience was lovely but they are very busy (which is great to see!) so be ready to leave after your two hours are up!

Pros: Amazing Tofish and Chips

Cons: Overpriced and over-sweet cocktails

So so good

We had the VFC burger and the tofish stack with fries which were all incredible! Highly recommend. The location and interior is amazing and they even serve vegan cocktails! Staff was nice and helpful as well.

The chikken drumsticks were okay and actually came with a fake bone, but we didn’t love the taste…

Pros: Incredible food , Amazing location and interior design, Helpful staff

Amazing spot for vegan food!

Everything was great! I went here with two non-vegans and they enjoyed the food just as much as my boyfriend and I did. I got the tofish stack and it was amazing - I am really curious about the vegan calamari. My boyfriend got the BBQ tempeh and loved it. I would really recommend the fried corn starter.

Staff was so lovely and food was suburb!

Wow, honestly, just wow. Of course, don’t come here if you’re trying to eat healthy, that is not the point, but seriously, the food was just incredible. I have never had vegan fish and chips, but the one here (tofu base) was really out of this world!

The staff also was so lovely, cocktails amazing, it def gets busy on Friday and Saturday, so worth reserving, but the girl at the front was so nice to even take our number even though there wasn’t a spot and called when someone left early!

Again, a fabulous place, really well done and so happy to support their cause

Pros: Food is amazing, Great service

Everything is great!

Tried a couple of their items at the restaurant and now I am always on the lookout for their van at festivals. I can strongly recommend the fish and chips, the calamari and the prawns!

Amazing

Been here a few times and it’s certainly a great choice! Had a lovely birthday meal - the chocolate fudge cake is the best I’ve ever had!!

Also had the tofu fish and chips at vegan camp out which were absolutely fantastic.

Incredible vegan food, sit at the bar!

We had the best seats in the house at the bar! I wasn't sure when we booked it but it was great watching the cocktails being made and even got a free cheeky cocktail each!
The food was amazing, 3 courses are a must! We had VFC popcorn bites & tempura prawnz to start! Hotdog and double bacon burger for mains and the NY style & biscoff cheese cake for dessert... Wow!
Will definitely be back the next time we go into town for the day! 💚💚💚

Pros: Devine food & cocktails

Incredible

Went with friends for dinner. We all had 3 courses and tried each others. Everything was delicious. The fishy things (sushimi, prawnz, tofish n chips) were astonishingly fishy. Fish and chips was a dish I most missed since turning vegan as had never come across vegan alternatives but I swear the tofish was tastier than the real thing. Even my non-vegan friend agreed.

Love everything they stand for

More than a restaurant, this place is a hub of veganism. Knowing the profits go towards a sanctuary is so wonderful😄(Just only order the hotdog if you can handle spicy mustard - I found it very strong) Overall a great place!

Great vegan restaurant for a good cause

Love that it’s a non-profit business where all proceeds go to Surge Sanctuary. The food is great- presentation and taste alternatives are amazing. Their seitan ‘ribs’ were even on the ‘bone’ I appreciate the efforts

Pros: Fully vegan resto, Great prompt and friendly service, Wide array of options, sustainable packaging

Amazing food

The food was awesome, actually the very best vegan pudding I have ever had, and I have been vegan for 7 years.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that the loaded fries were lukewarm not hot enough and the “bacon” could have been cooked a bit more. I put it down to the fact that the place was extremely busy and the staff were obviously rushed off their feet.
On the whole very lovely and would definitely go again.

Pros: Entirely vegan , Innovative recipes , Profits go to Surge sanctuary

Cons: Quite pricey but that’s London

Vegan and proud!

Amazing vegan restaurant covering all types of animal alternatives. Maybe a bit too much focus and not enough on standard healthy vegan meals?

Pros: All vegan, Tastes like the real thing, Friendly, nice vibe

Cons: A bit pricey , All focus on animal alternatives, Mostly unhealthy choices

My favourite place to eat in London

Fantastic restaurant, so many vegan items! Everything was great, but for me the standout was the battered tofish. Hands down the best vegan fish I’ve ever eaten. A definite must to eat here if you are in London! My only complaint is they don’t have fitted women’s t-shirts for sale.

Pros: Excellent vegan menu, Best battered tofish. Period.

Cons: Cocktails are pricey

Hit with all the family

Took my family here to celebrate my birthday back in September. It was amazing, everyone loved it (and we have a couple of fussy eaters!) the fake fish and chips blew my mums mind who had never had a good fake fish until now, she said this was fantastic! We all had different dishes, but they were all great in their own way!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Cool interior, Money goes to a good cause

Cons: Expensive, but money is going to a good cause

Well worth a Visit

It was my wife and my first visit to the Unity Diner. It was a Friday night so it was pretty busy, the atmosphere was good. The menu isn’t over complicated but pretty varied. We had a chikken ceaser salad and their version of kfc which was amazing! I had a moving mountains burger, we were both ready to burst but we couldn’t resist a pudding to share. Also try the peanut butter blondie

Pros: Puts something back into the environment! , Friendly helpful staff, Relaxed atmosphere
