Vegan paradise! - Edit
Everything about our experience was brilliant from the moment we walked in the door. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, our burgers were delicious (I had the gluten-free bun) and the loaded cheesy fries were honestly the DREAMIEST! I've been longing for more of them ever since we left ..! Kudos to the incredible chefs.
Read moreWe had the 'I love Ewe' cocktail and the 'Piers Morgan's tears' cocktail (a must!). Both were great!
They even brought out a birthday brownie for my friend's 40th birthday weekend... such a lovely touch! On top of everything the vibe of the restaurant is effortlessly cool and just a lovely place to be.
Special thanks to all the hard-working staff there! Also thanks to the legend that is Ed Winters.

Service - Edit
Food was nice but expensive. Cocktails were terrible and very watered down. Not to mention the water that we had to ask for four times before we got that! They were out of stock on a few things and the service wasn't great. They put a 12.5% discretionary charge which you should have the option to tip the amount you want rather than pay that. Bit of a cheek when service was not that great. Then if you ask to remove it they get funny with you and start to question why and they are not as friendly after.

Good food but service could be better - Edit
I went here with family. The food was delicious and very friendly service staff but they forgot two items that we ordered - sparkling water and wine. It didn’t bother us too much but they then added the items to the bill so we had to get the bill adjusted. Otherwise excellent food and profit going to a good cause. Big portion sizes even just for a starter mean you will not be leaving hungry!

Service was super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and I can't help but feel uneasy because of how close the tastes are to the real thing.

The best place in London! - Edit
When I'm trying to make a decision of a fully vegan place to visit in London. I always gravitate to Unity Diner. The food is just stunning every time, no matter what I choose on the menu and the staff are so friendly it is a really welcoming restaurant.
Read moreIf you go here you have to get a fish style meal, I have tried the tofish and chips, the tofish bites, the tofish burger and the lobster mac and cheese and everything was stunning!
I wish there was a unity diner closer to me I would be there everyday!

Cons: Can get busy so make sure to book

Probably short staffed - Edit
Luckily the food is still nice even though the changes to the menu would suggest it should be quicker to prepare than previous versions of the menu. Our party came together from all over the UK to support the cause. We had booked in advance so the venue should have been expecting us but there was no service. We literally had to get up and go and ask someone every time we wanted to order something and give them more money! After taking ages to take orders and prepare and serve food when we eventually asked if we can order dessert we were told we could only have it if we hadn't been there long enough already before the next booking was due to arrive! It was like they didn't want our money. After the food was served nobody asked after a pause if anybody wanted anything. I guess they were short staffed...

Good but nothing special - Edit
I was very excited to visit the Unity Diner, I loved the decor and the cozy environment. It was fully booked so it was a bit loud with the already loud music. The staff was very friendly and the service super fast. We ordered the classic cheese burger and the tofish stack burger and were a bit surprised that you had to order the fries extra for this price. The cheese burger was nothing special and could be easily done at home, but it was good. The tofish stack burger was okay. It didn't really taste award winning and the sauce was a bit bland. Our ordered mocktails (surge 75 and lyres spiced mojito) didn't really meet our taste buds and they were pretty pricey for the big amount of ice that was in there. For dessert we had ice cream waffles which I really liked. The salted caramel cake was decent but maybe a bit too salty. Overall, we did have a good time and when we're back in London I'm pretty sure we'll give it another try.

Worth the wait? - Edit
Never had a tofish burger before and it was delicious! Really crispy and the sauces and filling really complimented it.
Read moreThe staff were friendly but I had to wait nearly an hour for my food. It was fully booked so I understand they were busy but we then ran late for the event we were going to. I’d like to come again to try more of the menu but maybe on a weekday or lunch time so I don’t have to wait so long again. I think the experience would be a lot nicer.

Nice enough food, but frustrating service - Edit
Food was pleasant enough but, in my opinion, didn't justify the slightly higher price point. The decor was nice, although it could have been warmer inside. Main frustration came with the service. Received items we didn't order and I only noticed afterwards we were overcharged for drinks (Half beers ordered, but charged for pints). Additionally, service charge was added to bill automatically, which tends to annoy me

The best vegan place in London! - Edit
Really good food, especially the fish & chips they have! It tasted just like real fish, from the very vague memory I have of tasting fish at least. But even the non-vegan people I was with said the same, so it must be so. Anyhow, highly recommendable place! Very friendly personnel as well.

Friendly staff and good vibe - Edit
Staff were so nice and chatty, felt like a great start to my trip to be greeted with such friendly people. The tofish and chips were a good choice after a long train journey - big portion and washed down with a pint couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Two people having a meal and a pint came to 50 quid which is kind of standard for a nice sit down meal in London i suppose

Only desserts- but BEST waffles I have ever had - Edit
We could only go for dessert this time, but myself and my partner had AMAZING desserts, nice oat milk latte and a coke.
Read moreThe drinks were good, the doughnut was amazing (NICE strawberry jam and ice cream!!) but the waffles were out of this world! TWO waffles with ice cream and edible flowers COVERED in syrup- i mean, i am sorry for shouty caps but i was in heaven!!
The place is cool and interesting with friendly staff- the main meals smelt amazing and very excited to go back. It's the little things like the neon sign and profit going to animals and the wallpaper by the restrooms which will make vegans feel right at home, but, it is very accessible to everyone who loves great food.
Pros: profits to vegan charities, vegan neon sign, style, friendly staff, large menu and lots of choice, AMAZING dessert- GET THE WAFFLES!
Cons: draught coke- would love a bottle or even can opt, small tables and seats, glad it wasn't busy, scan for menu but cant order or pay scan confusing

One of the best vegan restaurants i’ve been to - Edit
Had this on my wish list for ages as am a fan of surge and their work. However, after visiting I can taste the hype. The options were plentiful and the quality and taste for the price makes it a must visit for anyone in London. The staff were also amazing giving recommendations and even let us taste extra things. Overall 10/10 experience.

Great place - Edit
Great place over all. Went there twice. Had the redefine steak on one occasion. It was nice but I've tried Juicy Marbles before so was familiar with the concept. Second time I went for the tofish which was amazing (ordered double portion). I've had one in Brighton but can't get enough of it. Risotto was a bit blunt, could be packed with more flavour. Omni burger was missing onions. Carmel called was great but the doughnut dry and boring.
Read moreOnly downside was that even though we booked it we had to wait for the table for quite a long time which with two little kids was not great. Staff super friendly. Would visit again.

Mind-blowing - Edit
Unity Diner (100% vegan) has been on my list for a long time, and I finally went to try the award-winning “fish” and chips in Nov ‘22. We started with shrimp and wings and then I had the fish and chips main. It was all mouth-wateringly delicious and very realistic and the portions were a decent size.
Read moreI must admit, I’m a believer that banana blossom makes a much better alternative to fish than tofu, and that’s the only suggestion I would make, but to those who enjoy tofu a lot – the fish will blow your mind. I particularly loved the tartare sauce. Couldn’t get round to dessert because the other food was too filling, but the options looked great. Expect typical London prices for food, so not cheap, but not extortionate either. Would return.

Cool atmosphere with inventive take on traditional meat-based dishes - Edit
I would definitely recommend this place if you're a meat eater and are curious about how vegan versions might compare. (But then why are you on this app?!?) Or perhaps you might take a meat-eating friend here to show him how little he's missing out on a vegan diet. That said, besides the salad there aren't many options for vegans interested in healthier whole-food options without "fake" meat. Still, an interesting experience and an institution worth supporting if you're in London.
Read morePros: Impressive vegan fish and chips, Very good drumsticks
Cons: Mostly recreations of traditional meat dishes
