they werent helpful at all - they make their rice with butter and they didnt agree to make it with oil then sold us half the meal without the rice for the same price of both
I had the vegetarian pot that is vegan and it was amazing and super tasty, my friend had the chickpeas that were also very good. Both came with very tasty rice! Good coffee as well. Price is okey although more expensive than the average Turkish food and the portions weren’t the biggest
Arrived in Goreme two days ago and set off to try out all the restaurants listed by Happy Cie. First one up was One Way. Loved relaxed seating on beanbag chairs and attentive wait staff. I enjoyed generous dish iffelucious hummus with fresh Turkish bread followed by traditional clay pot dish- white beans in tomato sauce with rice. Very filling and tasty meal with juice that cost $10USD. Recommended!
I enjoyed the atmosphere, there was a live band playing Turkish pop music, bean bag chair options and an open air view of the street. I had potato pancakes and sarma, both were tasty.
Something for older couples or for a date or so - Edit
The food was quite expensive, also the drinks.. I ordered vegetarian pottery and it came only with a small portion of rice..
At the Silkroadcafe it was 5 Lira cheaper and came with bread, rice and salad. And I could knock this kid of the pot with the hammer by myself.
The atmosphere at one way is more fancy, the live music was very nice but if you wanna safe money and have satisfying food, it's not the right place.
Bubbling bean 'testi kebab' clay pot stew with music - Edit
It's quite easy to find good veg food in Göreme and Turkey in general, but I thought One Way had made a special effort. One page of the menu is veg and they have more choices than other places, such as a number of different veg versions of the local specialty, testi kebab (clay pot kebab). I had a bean and veggie clay pot. They have music in the evenings and a terrace.
When I was eating and listening to the band, the power went off in the whole neighbourhood. One Way has a generator and very soon everything was going again!
Other good veg options in Göreme include:
-Pumpkin (nice atmosphere, set menu, great food, super friendly, a little more expensive)
-Nazar Börek (inexpensive, friendly and helpful; I ate there several times)
-Old Cappadocia Cafe (also clearly marks veg food on menu)
-Firin Express (inexpensive, good veg pide and testi kebab)

Nothing vegan or vegetarian - Edit
They have nothing vegan or vegetarian on the menu. We ask to veganise a plate and it was not possible.

Decent in an area lacking better options - Edit
We got take away from this restaurant in late December. In an area lacking better options, it was decent.
Read moreThe menu clearly marks vegetarian options, and the staff were able to answer questions to verify whether items had cheese or yogurt or eggs.
The food was good quality, and portions were big. Price isn't great, but that's standard for the area.
It was a decent option.
Pros: Can answer questions about ingredients
Cons: Serves meat
