Wish I had picked another place - Edit
I did not like this place.
Read moreStarter: Fried mushrooms hard and cold. I actually did not pay for them after complaining.
Main: cauliflower steak, not bad but too much on plate and flavours did not compliment each other.
Pudding: banana creme brulee - best bit.
Staff were busy making drinks and were inattentive.
I heard this hotel gets very mixed reviews, now I have been I can look up some of the funny ones in the guardian.
Not a place to go back to.

3 course vegan dinner - Edit
I really enjoyed the dinner, started with heritage tomato salad which was delicious. Main course I’ve tried both roasted Sumac Cauliflower and the Hen of the Woods (a Mushroom dish) and both were delicious. Desert was a coconut dish, also nice.

Fabulous food, beautiful place - Edit
Full vegetarian menu, which looked to me to have vegan options. They were very helpful and accommodating of our dietary needs. The food was as beautiful and pretty darn nice. Afterwards there was a lovely lounge to relax in and play games. This is a country house hotel, so it’s not cheap, but it’s a decadent place, very nicely done.

Not sure what people are talking about??? - Edit
Just had a, granted , delicious meal of stuffed peppers but at £12 the portion was rather small and the small side of chips didn’t really cut it.
Read moreThere was no vegan menu...... there was a menu with a convoluted allergy. ...... with nothing vegan on the menu.
Lucky for the special of stuffed peppers!!!
A beautiful place though, and dogs are welcome which, for me, made up lack of vegan food.
My vegan husband is still hungry!!!!
Pros: Beautiful setting, Dog friendly!
Cons: 1 vegan option... by removing the cheese

Very helpful - Edit
The chef wrote on the menu all the things he could adapt to be vegan. I had a roasted veg and hummus sandwich it was amazing!
