Nice cocktails and delicious veggie/vegan options

Cool down after a day walking through the lovely historic city of York: I chose a cocktail and one of the many Vegan options on their menu. Can recommend “The power of 5”: grilled veggies, miso sauce and sesame seeds.

Pros: In the city centre , Friendly staff, Not expansieve

Nachos

I went in on a really quiet night so service was super quick. I had the vegan nachos and they were amazing, there are fresh chillis so be warned if you don’t like spice. And the vegan cheese they use is really nice.

Pros: Good amount of vegan options , Portion size , Fair price

Cons: Label alcohol as vegan or not vegan

Disappointed

The main menu has SO many vegan options, so you can imagine my disappointment when I went in for brunch and there was nothing on the menu suitable for vegans. I was told the main menu was unavailable until later in the day.
I ended up walking to Bagel Nash while my friend's waited for their food. I had walked there, ordered, collected and walked back before their food had arrived. We were pretty much the only ones in there and it took over 20 minutes for food to arrive.
The staff were nice, prices were fair and the decor is really cool. Vegetarian options available all day.

Pros: Nice staff, Fair prices, Cool decor

Cons: No vegan options at brunch, Long waiting times, Kinda cold

All Bar One, One Bar All

Really like this place and have eaten here a number of times over the years. It does get very busy though particularly at the end of the working day. Even before they introduced a vegan menu they still offered good vegan options. We had a vegan beetroot burger which was OK and a superb Asian style tofu stir fry both of which were in the £10 price range. It also helped the fact that we had an birthday email voucher for a free bottle of Prosecco. Not somewhere you’d instinctively go to as a vegan but certainly worth a look.

Pros: Separate vegan menu , Great location , Online voucher codes

Cons: Drinks are expensive
