Great spot in SLC

This place is amazing!!!! My husband and I tried the nachos which not only are huge, but leave you craving them hours later. We also devoured the jalapeno poppers, smothered burrito, and carrot ginger soup. Yes, we left stuffed but it was well worth it. Highly recommend this vegan spot.

Pros: Soy free, gluten free

Cons: Must be 21yrs and older to enter

A decent spot

It was a fine experience. Every employee was super nice (although at one point we had two servers who didn't know the other was serving us). The food we had was good, the drinks were okay. I think the description on here made me think this would be a super cool spot but it was more like a step up from a juice bar.

Good vibes, OK food

The space is cool and welcoming and staff are very nice. While I was eating inside, a wasp landed on my food (eek!) and the server took care of it quickly and professionally.

The red tea and broccoli cheddar soup were good, but the barbecue chicken pizza crust was bland and dry. It reminded me of a frozen pizza. I ended up switching to the Zesty Nachos and they were a lot better-- flavorful, spicy, and filling.

Overall, not bad but not amazing, either.

Pros: Friendly staff, Cool space, Yummy nachos

Cons: Some dishes are bland

Best in SLC

This place rules. Just expensive, special occasion only. Breakfast pizza rules, salads are delicious, tacos were small... nachos are delicious and the hazelnut chocolate dessert was amazing.

Pros: Not gross feeling, Colorful- not all beige menu items

Breakfast pizza, yay!!

Pizzas and salads were amazing! Grilled cheese bread a bit thick, but cheese was fantastic, as was the soup. Wish we had time to stay for a drink, they looked incredible!

Ok food! Small portions

The staff is really nice and very welcoming. We came in a bit late but they still helped us out.
The food was good but wasn't anything extravagant, and the portion sizes were a little on the lesser size. Also hard to find parking in this part of Salt lake at busy times of day so you may have to walk a bit.

Pros: Great helpful staff, Cool atmosphere

Cons: Hard to find parking, Smaller portions

Nachos and a smoothie

They advertised "the best nachos I'll ever have", probably close to the truth :p Smothered in creamy sauce, just how I like it, with a lovely hint of lime. Cool selection of cocktails and two smoothies too. Chill music. Great place to hang out. Not much space but there's both outdoor and indoor seating. Desserts are really pricey though so I skipped that!

Second time I went I had a grilled cheese sandwich and didn't like it as much - got that highly processed vegan cheese taste :/

Pros: Selection of food and cocktails, Nachos!, Chill place

Cons: Dessert is too expensive, Not great vegan cheese

Everything was Great!

We had the jalapeño poppers, the crispy polenta skillet with marinara and vegetables, and the Thai sunrise with coconut yellow curry and mixed vegetables. All were so good. The poppers had a great filling and a nice sweet taste with the fruit sauce drizzle. The polenta was soft and the marinara was very flavorful. And the yellow curry was awesome. Can’t wait to go back and try more

Environmentally conscious through and through

Not only is the kitchen entirely plant based, gluten free, soy free, and peanut free, they’ve eliminated plastic straw use and paper menus and they give 5% discounts
If you bring your own to-go containers. I loved knowing everything I ate was ethically sourced and thoughtfully assembled. They truly are next level.
Also... the food is amazing. And most everything can even be made oil free if that’s a concern.

Pros: Environmentally friendly , Delicious , Oil free options

Good food

It was a little scary going into a place that has indoor dining during COVID, but we ordered takeout and the food was very good - was a bit of a wait even though they weren't super busy.

Limited menu but still a solid variety of options. I had the bbq jackfruit pizza and while it was good, the cheezy sauce was kind of overpowering - my friend had the potato dish and enjoyed it.

I'd go back after COVID to maybe enjoy the place a bit more - couldn't enjoy the atmosphere or the full bar as I normally would.

Pros: All vegan, Nice space

Cons: Small menu, Somewhat expensive

Zest is THE Best

zest is the BEST. The food, the atmosphere, drinks, desserts and the cocktails are top notch. This is one of the gems of SLC. I can often find the owner walking around our farmers market looking for the freshest ingredients. Not to mention their commitment to the community with coat drives, discounts of brining your reusable container, and matching donations to local charities. This place hits all the right notes and makes me warm and fuzzy whenever i go there, though that might be the cocktails too. Be sure to go for brunch AND dinner. I'm still deciding what I like best. The brunch is stellar and one of my favorites. green juice mimosas!!! The jalapeno poppers and tiramisus are one of my favorite appetizers and desserts in this city. I get them almost every time. Okay, writing this just made me hungry time to go to zest! see you there!

Pros: Great Food, Great Drinks, Great Deserts

Loved this place. The food was delicious.

Service was great. We had the protein salad (half portion), polenta, a green juice and a cocktail. The portions were a good size. The service was great and prices were reasonable.

Pros: Fresh, healthy and delicious

Everything was delicious!

There were so many interesting items on the menu but ultimately I decided to try a few smaller dishes. I had the:

*brussels sprouts: w/ slivered almonds, spicy masala almond sauce
*cuban taco orange marinated jackfruit, mushrooms, rice, pico de gallo, fruit compote, guacamole & cilantro
* cup of black bean chili (soup of the day)

The Brussels sprouts were amazing. The taco was delicious, and the chili warming and hearty for a cold SLC evening. I was accidentally brought the tomato’s and butternut squash soup... snuck a taste... kinda liked it even more than the chili.

Delicious.

Pros: 100% vegan, Lots of choices, Delicious

Cons: Street paid parking

A-may-zing vegan food

Brussel sprout appetizer was the best, but all four things we ordered were delicious. The person who said portions were small and prices high may not have compared them to other restaurants in SLC and even grocery store prices. The $ is $$ here in general (from northeast US comparison). That said, come here and order the Brussels and a bunch of other things!

Pros: Delicious food, Excellent service & vibe, Good alcohol selection

Cons: none really

I don’t get the hype.

Overpriced for small portions that are just okay. Not bad, but not great.

Everything is delicious

I loved these items - smoothie, coconut tea, nachos, jackfruit pizza. I didn’t like the syrup or whip on hazelnut pancakes though pancakes themselves were good.

Yummy

Went for dinner and had baked zoodles, very tasty and not too huge so I could fit in carrot cake after which was also really good.

Absolutely Delish!

Great dining experience! The harvest soup was an amazing blend of flavors unlike any soup I’ve ever had. Breakfast tacos were good. My husband (a non-vegan) had the creamy penne pasta and absolutely loved the béchamel sauce. The raspberry chocolate panda cotta was so yummy and yet didn’t leave a heavy feeling. Our server was sweet and friendly and quick. Two thumbs up! We’ll be back!

Pros: All vegan, All beautiful, All delicious and interesting

Cons: Small space, seated close to neighboring tables

Does not meet expectations

Have been trying to come here for a year and a half but is not family friendly, which isn’t terrible. However, the reviews definitely made me think the food was going to be amazing. None of it had much flavor, if any at all. We won’t be coming back.

Pros: All vegan, Clean , Portion sizes

Cons: Too expensive
