Vietnamese

A mid size tastefully decorated vegetarian restaurant down a quiet street. The varied menu serves a variety of Vietnamese vegetarian dishes, including some mock meat dishes, some of which are vegan and others which may be able to be made vegan (please inquire). Relocated from 491/10 Nguyen Dình Chieu, Phuong 2, Quan 3. Previously called Thai Nhan Quan.

Nice place

Food is good, nice decoration (and a cute little dog), not crowded but it's a little expensive for local Vietnamese food.

Honestly don’t bother

Thought I’d give restaurant a go after reading the reviews and it was reasonably close to our hotel when I got there (for dinner) the place was empty got seated and young man gave us menus but never returned he just stood at the door area on his phone we waited for ages and in the end walked out as they obviously didn’t want to serve us ...... if I could I would have given zero star rating

Pros: None , ., .

Cons: Rude , ., .

Clean, many vietnamese options, pleasant setting

I had the hủ tiếu bò kho and it was solid. I feel confident that they serve clean food here

Great variety of Vegetarian options

Went for lunch VND150,000 for 2 people with a drink each. We had the turmeric bowl, dumpling, fried rice and ‘chicken’ wings. Food was all very tasty, restaurant clean and staff very helpful. Would recommend you stop by and tell owner you found them on Happy Cow!

Pros: Most items listed in English on Menu, Owner speaks English well

Amazingly tasty - MUST GO

I had Mì Quảng, which is a Turmeric Noodles bowl, as well as Cơm Tấm, which is Broken Rice with marinated tofu - both delicious but the best thing here were the Bánh Giò, which are Pyramid Dumplings with an amazing vegan sausage filling. Tipp for other tourists: you can get iced green tea for free.

Clean, Tasty!

Ordered a bowl of noodle soup and rice(25k each), not too sure about the variety but I think it’s the same as most com chay stalls. Was informed that they have buffets on thursdays. In overall the ambience was great, clean environment, couldn’t ask for a better first meal in hcmc!

Pros: Tasty, Affordable, Hygenic

Worth visiting if you’re in the area

Well lit, neat and clean and in a fairly quiet setting. Physically a small area but stil seats 60, however Vietnamese people although nominally Buddhist got to have their meaty eaty it seems, so there were few diners both times we were there. Food is very nicely presented with carved veg, e.g. carrot looks like a flower, etc. Menu says beef, fish, pork, chicken but it’s all TVP,textured vegetable protein. One of the proprietors knows a little English. Menu features English translation and there is a bewildering array of dishes to choose from.

Pricey but good

Very modern and clean. Good service. The owner's English is very good. Tea is not free but you get a big hug with ice for only 5000 VND. Food dishes start at around 50000 and the menu is extensive.

A good meal!

I had a (mock) beef curry which, as a welcome break from rice and rice noodles, was served with bread.

This was my first curry in Vietnam and my first mock beef curry anywhere.

The ingredients were quality, good vegetables, mock meat of course and a sliced baguette. The sauce was full and hearty though, had it been dinner and not lunch I'd have needed an appetiser to fill me.

But this was definitely worth a little extra money for a good, slightly different meal.

Pros: tasty, interesting menu

Cons: portion not very large
