On the 2nd floor, narrow entrance. 9 counter seats and 6 table seats.

Vegan menu and meat menu are separate, something for everyone!

Best Campus Meal - Edit
Located right across from Waseda station's entrance, this is the perfect place for university students to grab lunch. The owners are so friendly and will be happy to talk with you or recomend you something. There is an extensive vegan menu, though I usually get the sweet and sour soy meat bowl which is delicious. The cuisine is Taiwanese, but there's Japanese influence as well. It's usually quite quiet inside (at least for lunch), so don't be alarmed if you show up and the lights are off or something. They open for lunch (10:30-2:30), then close and then open again for dinner (5:00-11:00).

There is a separate vegan menu, and they offer a lot of vegan options. I tried hot ginger noodles and it was very good. The staff is very friendly. Perfect place for both lunch and dinner. #Veganuary

Amazing vegan Taiwanese food - Edit
Came here with my family and we all ate vegan! So many options I will need to go back to try them all. My favorite were the vegan kare age and fried mochi in broth. The owner is wonderful and does a great job managing everything by herself!

Delicious Taiwanese Food - Edit
Had the sweet and sour soy meat Kara-age don. The portions are generous, and at a reasonable price too. The pomegranate vinegar drinks are a staple in Taiwan cuisine, and it’s a refreshing beverage to go with your meal. They’re very accommodating and they even asked me if I was fine with onion and garlic.

Vegan friendly Taiwanese restaurant - Edit
The restaurant was easy to find. I went today for lunch after trying to go for dinner yesterday but finding that the hours didn’t match the ones on google. Despite this, the food was definitely worth coming back for.
Read moreInside was pretty small but the seating arrangements made it not so cramped. There were clearly labelled vegan options on the menu and a vegan sign outside. The waitress was able to talk to me confidently about what options were vegan.
I had the 揚げ出し豆腐 lightly deep fried tofu and it was extremely delicious. The tofu was a lot more generous in portion size than other tofu meals I’ve eaten thus far, so it’s good if you’re monitoring your protein intake.
All in all I would recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be returning to try out some of the other options. It would be great for their evening opening hours to be less murky, however, so I’d recommend going for lunch.
Pros: Lots of clearly labelled vegan options, Easy to find, Free wifi
Cons: Unclear evening opening hours

Good vegan options in a cosy place - Edit
We chose one of their vegan options for take away. A bowl with rice, pickles, scrambled tofu and braised mushrooms. Very tasty and fulfilling. The owners were very kind. We recommend this place for dinner if you want to feel an authentic vibe.

I was really surprised by this place, the flavours of the vegan food here are incredible and really unique! Soy meat has Great depth of flavour. The vegan mushroom balls emulates meat texture a little too well lol. Great if you love Chinese flavour food. Also good for drinking in a cosy Izakaiya!
