Delicious! Highly recommend - Edit
Small cozy cafe, vegetarian/vegan only. The environment is fantastic for those that don’t like overcrowded cafes. Everything on my plate was delicious, well prepared. I got the daily meal and hot tea. The daily set meal included green pea soup, mushrooms, salad, vegan eggroll, tofu and mushrooms and rice. They have a cute dog named Latte, he’s a sleepy lil fela but super friendly! Overall great experience

Great Set Meal - Edit
This is a cute little cafe with fantastic atmosphere (and the resident dog Latte) close to Waseda Uni. campus. Note that I've seen this restaurant written as Vege To Coffee, Vege ++ Coffee, and Cafe VG. I believe it's all the same place.
Read moreI ordered the daily set meal and a friend got the burger. The set was pretty incredible; I usually hate eating mushrooms (I go to great lengths to avoid them), but this set was mostly mushrooms and I gave it a try anyways. I'm so glad I did, the mushrooms and tofu were both cooked beautifully and I ate all of it. It's a great price for the amount of food, too.
The matcha latte with soy milk was also quite good, though a bit pricey, especially since the iced latte is majority ice.
This was probably the best vegan set meal I've had yet, and I'll definitely be back.
Pros: Good atmosphere, Nice owner and dog!, Great set meal
Cons: Service is a bit slow, Hard to find/goes by different names

A wonderful lunch place - Edit
Was visiting Waseda Uni and this was favourite lunch place for sure! The atmosphere is cozy and they have a cute small dog as well. I had the daily vegan lunch plate a couple of times and it was perfect. Also iced coffee with oat milk was delicious! I really recommend this place. Can get busy during lunch though so service time can be quite long, so don’t come here if you are in a rush! Otherwise service was great. Also, it was a bit difficult to find the place the first time, as some larger cars were parked in front of the cafe and the entrance was a bit hard to spot!

Cons: Slow service if crowded, Can be a bit difficult to find

Recommended! - Edit
Go here frequently with one of my friends. I get the brown rice plate (玄米プレート) which is always delicious. The restaurant has atmosphere, the owner is lovely and the dog (Latte-chan) is incredibly sweet. Worth a visit to see if it's for you.

Cute little cafe - Edit
Spotted this place by chance and it was open on a Tuesday (despite what google says!). Easy to find as there is a giant VG sign outside. It is also in a convenient location, not so far from Waseda University
Read moreThe server was incredibly friendly and was confidently able to recommend which items were vegan as opposed to vegetarian. I had the ‘Plate of the day’ which featured a croquette, salad, rice, tofu, veggies and soup. It was delicious and filling. I also had a brown sugar latte with soy milk as per the server’s recommendation and it was a good choice.
The cafe was very cute and not so busy. There is also free wifi. The owner’s dog roams around the property (but is not gross or near food at any time); this is either a good or a bad thing depending on what type of person you are. Additionally, there are discounts available if you are a student/if you order a drink with a meal.
For downsides, I wish there were more vegan options for a place that has massive VG letters on the side of the building. The vegan food I did eat today, however, was tasty. Would definitely recommend.
Pros: Good atmosphere, Discounts (Waseda student/set meal offers), The café has a dog (if you are a dog person)
Cons: Inaccurate opening hours on google, Not many vegan main courses, The café has a dog (if you’re allergic/not keen)

A bit restrictive (covid rules) - Edit
Food is good, but the rules are a bit weird. If you are here with a friend you are not allowed to talk to each other, and they want you to wear a mask in between bites. Of course not everyone is going to follow this, but just the suggestion seems a bit restrictive, especially since the cafe is empty at all times and is struggling to get people in. Owner chases you through the door with the alcohol spray, but owner's dogs runs freely throughout the cafe and the kitchen, so not all germs are created equal.
Read moreFood is very good and place is cute, place has tons of potential if they can become a bit more laid back with their guests. People tend to go out for lunch together to talk to each other and enjoy a delicious meal, so not sure this will be the best visit for certain people. I would recommend Sojo vegan cafe a ten min walk from this place.
