Great alternative! - Edit
With the vegan place around the corner being closed for some reason luckily I saw this restaurant on HappyCow. The owner didn't seem that happy about his job (in contrast to the guy in the kitchen) but he was still kind. I got the chana massala with yellow rice. A lot of flavours were packed in the dish, really good Indian cuisine! While sitting-in it seemed that the take-out options were much cheaper, so had I known I probably would have gone with that. I paid around 1200 yen for the dish with rice. They kept offering cold water for free which was ry nice!

This place has amazing flavor and multiple vegan- friendly options. I’ve tried the Vegetable biryani, Vegetable curry and Alu Beigan. All delicious! I keep coming back…
Read moreIf you show up between 11.00 - 15.00, you can get the Curry rice set (TAKEOUT) for only ¥500.
The staff is friendly (although the owner seems to hate his job 😬), speaks English and serve fast. Last time, the owner even gave me an extra large portion of biryani because i liked it so much :).

I have been to Namaste Himal twice now and was pretty satisfied with the food I had. Both times the service was fast and I enjoyed the サグマッシュルム ベジタブルカレー (sag mushroom vegetarian curry).
Read moreI had to clarify I wanted the vegan version (by explaining no meat, no milk etc as they didn’t understand the word ‘vegan’, but they were very accommodating upon understanding.
I went during the evening and night on the weekend and during the week. Both times the restaurant was pretty empty, making it feel a little awkward to sit and eat a curry. Takeaway is also possible so maybe this would be a better way to enjoy.
All in all, a pretty decent place to get curry.
Pros: Quick service, Friendly staff, More than one curry can be made vegan
Cons: Unclear from menu which curries can be made vegan, Atmosphere is kind of low energy

Even though it's a small shop the food is amazing! I was surprised by the flavour, so delicious! There are quite a few Curry places in the area, but this one wins on flavour. The portions are great too. They have about 9 vegetable curry options. (Ask them to ensure its vegan and they will do so happily)
