Great food - Edit
Visited twice, very handy for the Grand Hyatt.
Read moreStaff are friendly and food arrives quickly.
Most dishes can be vegan.
Serves alcohol, unlike a lot of the veggie HK restaurants we went to.
Another fun to find location!
Pros: Indian food!!
Cons: Lighting was far too bright

Yummy Indian food - Edit
This place has an extensive menu - the main menu contains a vegan menu featuring over 100 dishes! When you order, just make clear you want the vegan version of the dish (so for example for the dosa, they will make sure it is made with vegetable oil and not ghee). They also have Jain/Buddhist options (without onion or garlic).
Read moreI’ve visited their TST branch and tried many dishes there.
They recently opened this Wan Chai branch, which is newly renovated.
- I tried the uttapam and was very happy with it.
- Shared vada pav as a starter - it was good although I have had more flavourful ones in India.
- on another occasion, had the vegan thali and it was fantastic!
They have Oatly and offer vegan masala chai on the menu, but unfortunately did not have it available when I asked.
They have vegan lassi which was delicious, made with coconut yoghurt.
They don't serve or permit alcohol on their premises.
Address listed is correct although note that the entrance to Dannies House is on Jaffe Road, not on Luard Road.
Friendly service.

Nice Indian Restaurant! - Edit
Great food, lots of choices, friendly staff. Very hard to find. You enter a small office building on Jaffa Road and take elevator to first floor. I think there is signage at the too of the building; however, no signage at street level.

Excellent flavors, many menu options - Edit
Just like their Tsim Sha Tsui location, this newer option on the Hong Kong Island side has a huge menu of delicious vegetarian delights! Located in the Dennies building, enter on Jaffe Rd (not Luard Rd) Good service , friendly and knowledgeable. Big menu - so many delicious choices.

Balanced Flavours, Clear Ideas And Good Cooking! - Edit
It's a simple and clean premise that's bright and welcoming. It's definitely lighter on the Indian themes/imagery you often find in such restaurants and this was a pleasant change. It definitely felt that they were confident enough to let their food do the talking.
Read moreThe thali sets that we ordered were both pleasant and hit the flavour notes in the right places. Particularly enjoyed how sour the raita and the pickles were. The selection of dishes were well-balanced and such tastes off-set the richness of items such as the butter masala very well. The breads were incredibly light and were clearly the work of an experienced hand.
It's great that they have such an extensive menu for an all-vegetarian Indian restaurant. There were many different ways we could go about putting a meal together and options for sharing or eating plates individually.
When it comes to cost, it's not cheap but seems in-keeping with most Indian restaurants in HK. We felt the meal was good value.
Service was excellent. Water was filled up without request and servers consistently checked that we were satisfied with our meal. Felt very welcome throughout.
Pros: Experienced Chefs Cooking Good Food Well., Untypical Interior., Dedicated And Caring Service.
Cons: No Alcohol On The Menu., Building Elevator Is Extremely Cramped.
