Best restaurant in Munduk and very tasty food! - Edit
Warung classic is a lovely restaurant located in center of Munduk with an amazing view of rice fields and mountains. The owners are kind and they have multiple vegetarian and vegan options.
Read moreThe food is local, fresh, very tasty and it is not expensive. Highly recommend to have lunch/dinner there if you are in the area. The Dadar galung is the best we had !

Very accommodating - Edit
I'd been staying in Munduk for a few days and wated to spread the love around several of the warungs in the area, especially since it was low season and I was one of the only tourists in town. I'd read the reviews of Warung Classic and thought I'd go.
Read moreFirstly, this is not an accessible warung, there are about 20 very steep stairs down from the road to get there, so if you're in any way mobility impaired, then this place is not for you.
At street level there is a garage that is closed and it looks like this might be the warung, but don't be fooled, take the stairs down and look left and you'll find a cute little restaurant and waiting staff.
I told them that I was vegan and they didn't need an explanation of what that was, they were already familiar. I asked if they'd be able to do the nasi campur for me, and the lady gave me a quick no. She then pointed out the 4 items on the vegetarian menu that she could make for me that didn't involve animal products, and then very kindly said that she could do a combo of 3 of them with rice (the 4th option was a soup). I voted for this and she made me tofu, aubergine and tempeh manis with rice. It was really good! That, plus a large bottle of water came to 45,000 rupiah.

Cons: I couldn't get the nasi campur veganised :(

Many vegan options - Edit
Great little Warung with inexpensive food and lots of vegan options. The owner is delightful and understands vegan dietary requirements. She is happy to tailor vegetarian dishes to exclude egg as well. Also has a lovely outlook. The Tempe Manis and Eggplant Balado were standouts.
