Nice store for vegan food goodies - Edit
Found this place via HappyCow and was glad to be able to do vegan goodie shopping up in the North of the country. It is not located in the center, but it is possible to walk there from central station. This store has a variety of foods to buy from fresh to dried, so you can stock up on everything you need. We needed a stash of extras that would last for a while and would supply a group. The store has plenty of choices. Packed the backpack with tvp chunks, margarine (for baking), mayo, some sweets, veggie sausages and spices (they have smoked paprika and smoked salt e.g.). They have a big fridge section with cheezes etc. All carefully sorted. The staff was also friendly. - Happy customers.

Awesome! - Edit
We went to Groningen on our last vacation and I was so glad to find this vegan supermarket on HappyCow so we could stock up on some vegan food.
Read moreWe went there in the late afternoon and the super nice owner made us some very delicious burgers and a grilled cheese sandwich for out little vegan.
He was very friendly and we chatted for a while. Afterwards we bought all we needed and went on our way only to come back a couple of days later.
I highly recommend this store. Go and support them!

We came across this shop during our holiday and decided to take a look. They have all varieties of vegan food and even the bigger brands are available in this store! Very friendly staff and we would definitely recommend to take a look over there :)

Very cheap burgers! - Edit
Small but well-stocked store a bit outside the city center. Lots of nice vegan stuff, though they didn't have as many meat substitutes as I'd like to see (they only had one kind of soy chunks for axample).
Read moreWe also had a bit to eat (burgers!) which was very tasty and pretty cheap. Friendly service too! For me personally it's not (yet) on the level of a store like Veggy For U in The Hague, but it's quite nice as it is.

Puddingbroodjes - Edit
Very nice shop with lots of interesting stuff you can not buy in regular shops. A lot of choice in Wilmersburger vegan cheese and in yoghurts. Also a lot of stuff you can buy in a bio shop. You can eat some simple but delicious and cheap lunch and cakes. Cakes were raw food i think but in the shop they have the best 'puddingbroodjes' i have ever tasted! Nice people too.

What an awesome feeling walking in a supermarket not having to look at everything with the nagging feeling of 'I hope it's vegan...'. This is shopping heaven for vegans. It's not a health food store so there is also ink food for those days when u just need it. Very friendly and helpful owner. If I only lived in Groningen....

At the back of the VeganSuper shop, there's a counter with stools and two tables nearby. Here you can order tasty snacks such as "cheese & ham" toasties, or a burger. They also serve coffee, tea and smoothies.
Read moreI think this is my favourite place for a snack in Groningen! The toasties are hot and tasty, the burger is really good too, and the price can't be beat. It's lower than Berlin prices, in the Netherlands!
It's open while the shop is open, which means 8pm on weeknights (9 on a Thursday), which is useful. The service is the same friendly service you get in VeganSuoer.
