I had fatoush with a falafel side order. The fatoush was huge and I couldn’t eat it all. The falafel were really good but could have done with some tahini sauce.

Delicious filling and inexpensive. Especially the Jerusalem falafel.Only issue is that the falafel pocket (thinner than a pita bread) leaks so one’s hands get very messy

Fresh and tasty, I usually get the Palestinian, it's always good. Nice location, inside and outside seating. 100% vegetarian, many vegan options. Visited again recently and had the beautiful Baklawa for dessert - 4 different taster bites - gorgeous!

I come here a lot and always get the Palestinian falafel meal deal which comes with a soft drink of choice and batata hara (spiced potato wedges), and always leaves me stuffed! Delicious and great value.
Read moreUpdated 2022: returned here for the first time since the pandemic, great to see that they still have outside seating even with the current reduced restrictions. It felt like the falafel tasted slightly different than previously, perhaps the recipe has been changed, but the wedges were as tasty as ever.
Updated 2023: I'm glad to say that they kept the outside seating, and the falafel is back to tasting as good as ever - I feel like there were fluctuations based on changing staff perhaps? My go-to spot in Cork for many years now. Meal deal has risen in price over the years but still very good value.

We loved our dinner at Umi Falafel! The Cauliflower Pita, fries, and soup were especially delicious! The service was quick and friendly. We appreciated that the vegan options were clearly labeled.

The baklava was too sweet for me. They should have more than one option for dessert. I would recommend to have another starter instead of baklava. In Spanish we say: "my teeth will fall", when we try something too sweet.
Even so, I would go back because the rest was perfect!

Loved the platter for two here. The falafels were super crispy, hummus super creamy and the quinoa salad was tasty. We added wedges but there was plenty of food without them. Highly recommend.

Umi has great falafel, soups and salads. The Palestinian sandwich is a classic, and the lentil soup is always delicious. If you're vegetarian, the breaded halloumi sticks with mango sauce are worth a try too.

It's not fully vegan, but I'm actually surprised and delighted to see they don't serve meat at all. Great food, very quick. Everything tastes fresh. Plenty of tahini sauce to add if you so wish! Nice to have healthy options like this for a quick filling meal.

The falafel pita I had, tasted not good at all. They did not use sauce (wtf?) and just put the raw ingredients in. It wasn’t labeled if the sauce on the table is vegan so I couldn’t use it either. Service was okay, but not good. The wedges had no sauce on them too. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.
