Good burger - Edit
I had a 1 hour layover at DFW, and this place was close enough to my Gate. They sell all sorts of meat burgers but had one clearly vegan named item.
Read moreThe wait time was about 15 minutes, something to keep in mind while at an Airport. The staff was friendly and the seating area had a nice aesthetic.
That being said, I took mine to go. The burger had many colors and different flavors. They worked really well together.

One of the better airport meals I’ve had recently - Edit
Great option for a vegan airport meal. Not overly expensive, a pretty good size, and an impressively tasty patty for a non-veg place that seemingly makes the patty themselves (not just Beyond or Impossible or similar). Hit the spot well on my layover, very pleased this was here

Vegabond for a full meal - Edit
The Vegabond burger at Twisted Root was a much needed refuel during a long day of flying. The sriracha gave it a nice kick and the avocado provided a creamy cooling sensation. As someone already mentioned, I highly recommend getting a fork if you want to get every bite; it’s a messy burger. The plant based patty had a soft crumbly texture, but I wouldn’t call it mushy. It might be a problem for some, but it didn’t bother me. The fresh and pickled veg on top was refreshing after coming back from eating horribly on vacation. If you order the combo you get fries. Since my boyfriend also got a burger; we split a side of fries instead, and it was plenty for both of us.
Read moreI really don’t remember what I paid but I’m sure it was reasonable for airport food. I would likely order this item again if I came across this restaurant outside an airport.
If you’ve come this far, I want to warn you that the high fiber content of this dish after a week of vacation meals is cause for concern, 💨, if you are scheduled to flight in the next few hours. You might want to only get this meal if you have a long delay.
Pros: Filled me up, Whole food plant based option, Fresh and pickled veggies
Cons: Airport food prices, Soft crumbly patty=get a fork, High fiber =possible in flight gas

Fantastic veggie option for DFW. The Vegabond has a homemade patty with pickled onions, lettuce, avocado & Sriracha. Get some!

Best vegan option at DFW by a long shot - Edit
Service is quick if you are in a rush!
Read moreMenu has a labeled vegan veggie burger that is very filling. Had a crispy outside but started to fall apart a little bit. You can tell it was made fresh and not frozen before being cooked. Fries were decent but nothing special.
Pros: Labeled vegan option, Fresh and filling veggie burger, Quick service
Cons: Burger falls apart

Fine - Edit
Probably your best bet for a vegan option here. The burger was fine, the fries were not great.

Pro tip - Edit
If you read the reviews AFTER sitting down here to eat and the burger doesn’t do it for you I suggest ordering the Mexican Chopped Salad, no cheese and add the vegan patty as protein. The huge patty is quite tasty but I would not have enjoyed it as a burger patty as it easily crumbles apart . Mixed into the surprisingly fresh salad the patty was delish.

Slow and bland - Edit
Order took a really long time and the burger has hardly any flavor. It is dry and falls apart. So bummed I spent $15 on something I do not even want to eat.

Tasty Burger - Edit
Really tasty burger. Better than the Beyond and Impossible burgers. It does crumble easily but nothing that a fork can’t help.

Edible is the optimal word - Edit
Food was bad honestly only flavor I got was from the Sriracha. It fell apart immediately and they say online they have gluten free options meaning eat it without a bun not that they actually have an option. Also it's 2022 a commercial fast food style restaurant should accept contactless payments.
Read morePros: Nothing save your money
Cons: "Gluten free" option is just no bun, Patty falls apart and is flavorless, No Contactless payments

Falls Apart - Edit
The burger literally falls apart as you try to eat it, it was mushy and was not very good in my opinion. Fries that it came with were super bland too with absolutely no salt on them or any seasoning.

The burger was pretty good - Edit
They clearly did something more than the standard black bean or impossible burger that a lot of places do, and the extra effort did show. It had a fun texture, and the taste was pretty good. It definitely fell apart pretty quickly. I normally wouldn’t pick this, but it was a decent option by my gate.

Beggars can’t be choosers - Edit
This will likely never be your favorite vegan food. It’s 2021 and it’s a quinoa burger with some black beans. It’s way too crumbly, but tastes decent. With that said, i’m glad the option is here.

Customer service good. I dont like the impossible burger flavor so I preferred this but it does fall apart. I would rather them serve it open face bun vs true burger.

Burger falls apart but roll with it - Edit
Like many say, the burger falls apart. Just accept it and enjoy your bowl with bread. Add all the pickles you want and slap on some barbecue sauce. It's all good.

Patty really does immediately fall apart - Edit
Patty really does fall apart immediately. Patty is loose amalgam of rice, beans, & breading. The burger flavor is okay. These places should just use impossible burgers if they're not going to try any harder.

Terrible Location - “Vegan” burger served on bun containing DAIRY - Edit
This place gives Twisted Root a BAD name. TRB should really consider pulling their franchise rights. ALL buns contain DAIRY. Staff were in a hurry, rude to customers, and constantly screaming at each other. Guy working the register had a large, unsightly bandage over one of his fingers. Very uncomfortable place to have a meal. While they do carry a vegan burger option, I wouldn’t suggest eating it from here. This place is not up to the high standard Twisted Root sets at their other brick-and-mortor locations. It’s an absolute disgrace and, honesty, should have their license pulled.

Cons: All buns contain dairy, Terrible Service
