Tasty option! - Edit
EDIT: I went back to Trenchers in October and they had taken the burger off the menu, instead adding in a ratatouille style dish with vegan cheese. Looking at the menu now, there's no vegan main options, only a few side dishes including beans and peas. A bit disappointing, so I'll have to look for somewhere else to eat now when I visit. Oh, well!
Read moreI always expect this burger to be incredibly dry, but I've had it a couple of times now and it is delicious. A little crispy and lots of flavour so it doesn't feel like you're eating cardboard. The chips are lovely too and the mango dip. I did ask for a cup of tea with soya milk, but was advised they don't do soya milk, which I found a bit odd especially where people are lactose intolerant, so I ended up with a Fentimans. It would be nice if they had a vegan option for the starters and desserts.

Pros: Really tasty vegan option (when they had one).
Cons: No vegan options for the main, no vegan starters or desserts, no soya milk.

Made me some chips - Edit
The place I usually go to for vegan chips (Chips Away) was closed, so I came here. They served me a portion of vegan chips (i.e. cooked in vegetable oil not beef dripping), but said they can only do that if the chef isn't too busy.

Cons: Can only get them if chef can be bothered

Requires improvement - Edit
Very few vegan options, the spinach and falafel burger is no longer on the menu because it is fried in the same frier as those things with cheese.

Tasty burger - Edit
Similar to the review above. Only one vegan main: a falafel and spinach burger with mango chutney, but it was delicious. Also had mushy peas with it. They asked whether I was vegan or vegetarian when ordering, so it’s good to know this was catered for. Good sized meal so very happy.

One vegan option but it's a good one - Edit
The only vegan option is a falafel and spinach burger with chips, mango chutney and salad but it is VERY NICE. The bread was soft and pillowy and the chips tastes like proper chippy chips. The waitress was careful to check how we wanted the chips cooked (veg oil) and I have a feeling that they'd be happy to adapt vegetarian options on the menu if necessary. Our gluten free omni friend was able to have gluten free batter on their fish at this restaurant so it's a great place to visit with friends of different dietary requirements. Restaurant itself was beautiful with especially nicely loos. There was a small queue outside but we were seated quickly.
