Good place for vegan options in Whitby - Edit
A cute little place next to the station serving good Thai food at a reasonable price. A few specifically vegan items on the menu but they can also make other items vegan on request. Also had a delicious vegan chocolate cheesecake.

Lovely - Edit
Visited here on a recent trip to Whitby. Cute little location inside the train station. The menu has a vegan section and clearly labelled options.
Read moreFor a starter, we shared the golden parcels. You get 4 in a portion so was nice to have 2 each.
For the main, I chose the Pad Kra Prow Tofu based on good recent reviews on here. It was very nice. Had it with sticky rice.
They even have a vegan set menu but as the above dish wasn't in the set menu, I chose not to have it.
Didn't have room/time for dessert but did notice they had a vegan cheesecake which sounded good!
Staff all very friendly, sadly they do not open on Tuesdays.

Lovely food good service and friendly - Edit
There were around 3 vegan options of mains and plenty of sides. Two starters were vegan. The choice was plenty and the food was tasty and it arrived in good time. It was so delicious. We would definitely go again.

Delicious! - Edit
Lots of clearly labelled vegan options. The Pad Kra Prow tofu was amazing and I highly recommend it, quite spicy but the tofu has a great texture not unlike inari sushi pockets if you've ever had those. I didn't have to wait long for it to arrive either

Very good vegan options - Edit
We had takeaway from the restaurant, it was very clearly labelled on both the menu and the takeaway boxes. All the food (vegan for me and some family had non vegan options) were amazing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of options, and a whole vegan set menu. Very well priced. I wish I lived nearer.

Late, but tasty - Edit
Had the vegan set menu, it was delicious. Loads of food dice two people and very tasty.
Read moreThe late was because weeks in advance we booked a table for 1900. Turned up on time, told it would be 10 mins for the table. Actually took 30 mins. We didn’t mind, we sat and had a drink.
Pros: Portion size, Delicious food, Vegan set menu

Very nice - Edit
It was disappointing that some of the options on the menu were no longer available as vegan such as the curries. However what we had was really excellent and highly recommended. There was a vegan set menu available which sounded good but we chose from the main menu and were really impressed. The staff were very clear on what was vegan.

Don't trust the menu - Edit
I would highly recommend checking with your server before ordering and don't trust the menu items marked as vegan. Some items are marked with a "v" which was supposed to denote vegan according to the menu but clearly contained egg. In addition, we were told anything deep fried would be fried in the same oil as meat items which means the spring rolls and vegetable parcels would be cross contaminated. Once we sorted this out, the food we did get was good and I suppose the upside is that they understood cross contamination.

Cons: Menu is at best confusing and at worst wrong

Brilliant - Edit
Busy restaurant inside the railway station. Would be fine to eat in, although we had take-out and ate dinner in our little tent on the cliff tops. Went with one of the set menus and had a huge selection of food with great range of flavours.

Modern Place - Edit
Very nice and modern place in central Whitby. The vegan options are excellent. We had the vegetarian banquet for two which is only £20 if you print off the voucher from their website. It's vegan if you substitute the sweetcorn cakes for vegetable parcels or spring rolls. The thai curry is delicious but could do with some tofu in it. However, you can't really complain for the price. We've been a couple of times already and will no doubt try it again.

Smart Train Station Dining - Edit
Once the home of the dilapidated Whitby Tandoori which had seen better times this is now a plush, modern high end Thai restaurant with excellent labelled vegan options. On the Friday night of Whitby Goth weekend in April the place was packed at around 20:00. There was even a queue in the lobby. We returned at 22:00 to find the place much quieter and less hectic with only a few tables of groups finishing their meals. Perfect. A table overlooking the station platform added to the conviviality. There was a special offer of £20 vegetarian dining for two consisting of a starter, side dish, curry and jasmine rice. Bring it on. The starter was supposed to be sweetcorn cakes but the knowledgeable staff advised they contained egg so provided us with spring rolls and vegetable parcels. These were accompanied with a couple of delicious tofu and mushroom skewers. The green Thai curry was quite sensational, although it would have been nice to have a few pieces of tofu in there. No problem though. The rice was fine and the side dish of roasted vegetables in a spicy, garlicky soy sauce was quite remarkable. This was a feast. Wines are not labelled as vegan but a quick check on barnivore or the Vegaholic app will help you locate a suitable option. They also do take away, just take 20% off the regular prices.

Cons: wines not labelled vegan
