Original and Best - Edit
If I could give 6 stars I would! We come here whenever in the area. Delicious coffee and baked goods! Favorites include: pizza rolls, raised donuts, cheesecake, etc. They also do pies for the holidays you can order and the birthday cakes are well-loved by both vegans and non-vegans!

🎶Don’t Forget the Crumble, Don’t Forget the Treats 🎶 - Edit
Highly recommend, this place is a VIBE! I had my order to go, they use sustainable/eco-friendly products and have a huge selection of ALL VEGAN pastries and truffles?! For us non-coffee folks, there is hot tea to complement the donuts and scones! 🤤 Super service and will totally return!

Cons: $3.50/Donut; but worth it IMO

Worth the hype - Edit
Everyone said this was the place to go when we were visiting friends in Oakland, and they were right. We got coffees, a pizza roll and a Twinkie (impulse purchase, but definitely worth it) the first day, and breakfast sandwiches the next day. I’m super impressed and would come back any time im in the area.

The best! - Edit
I love this place, great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, amazing pastries and cakes. I buy a lot of birthday cakes here for non-vegan friends and always a big hit. Also a nice location.

The Best Plant-based desserts not from my own kitchen! - Edit
The place to take non-vegans to convince them that vegan desserts do not lack anything! Timeless offers a mouth-watering selection of pastries, including: cookies, Danish, cakes, pie, donuts, scones, cinnamon rolls and croissants (now available every day; in butter or chocolate or almond or savory); usually a few gluten-free sweets as well. They also roast their own coffee and have a selection of house made chocolates/truffles. And, number of tasty savory treats, like "sausage" empanada and pesto-cheese roll, my person fav. ( think pizza dough surrounding pesto and melted cheese). There are also daily breakfast specials and brunch offerings on the weekend. For optimal selection, you may pre-order online the night before and pick up the next day ( and pile the croissants in your freezer). Seriously, I really do love this place; they did not pay me to write this!! Also, there are now 3 locations: Piedmont Avenue, Ashby and Webster; all in Oakland.

I always special order cakes and pies from them for special events and they’re always excellent. Non-vegan friends rave about them too. My family always loves their “cheesecake“ I highly recommend

My fave coffeeshop in Oakland - Edit
I love how everything is vegan, and I don’t have to worry about what to order from the menu. They have a decent and impressive range of vegan pastries like croissants, quiches, savory rolls, empanadas, turnovers, cake and pie slices.
Read moreThe coffee is also excellent. I love how the mochas taste like real chocolate!
Minus 1 star only because they run out of everything fast. I typically order online, so it’s really annoying when I order something they don’t actually have. Make sure you stop by in the morning.
Pros: All-vegan, Affordable, Dog-friendly
Cons: Runs out of pastries quickly

Timeless Coffee Roasters and Bakery - Edit
When I lived in SF I had to venture all the way to Piedmont for a client meeting and stopped by Timeless on the way to pick up an oat milk matcha latte. It was really good. They also offer loads of vegan baked items from sweet to savory. Hipster vibe and super welcoming.

my favorite - Edit
Timeless is probably my favorite vegan place near where I live. I’ve tried almost everything they sell and everything is amazing! The only thing I’ve had there and didn’t really like is the peanut butter cups (they were just chocolates with peanuts instead of peanut butter filling). All of their pastries, cakes, pizzas, and their breakfast burritos are great! Make sure to get there earlier in the day for the biggest selection.

All vegan coffee shop with so many choices! - Edit
All vegan coffee shop with extensive options. It's such a prize find in the vegan landscape.
Read moreAll vegan food offerings I see there regularly include:
* Donuts (many flavors)
* Croissants
* Cake (strawberry shortcake, tiramisu, etc)
* Cheesecake
* Chocolates
* Sweet pastries
* Savory pastries (eg ham and cheese croissant, sausage empanada)
* Pesto roll (the best thing they make IMO)
* Scones
* Cookies
* Sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich
* Breakfast burrito
The tea options are more limited than I wish they were, but they are serviceable. My partner likes their coffee. Almond, soy and oat milk options.
Nothing really healthy to choose if you are feeling like you want a light and nutritious snack.

So good! - Edit
Their baked goods are amazing and delightfully all vegan! I finally stopped by here after having already been a big fan of the second location on College. There is a bit more variety here, though I do like the smaller, quiet space of the other store. I love all their cakes, cheesecakes, and pastries—they all look so pretty too! I also tried a raspberry truffle here which was delicious.

Update 5/13/2021:
Read moreI've eaten here several more times since I wrote the first review and I have tried their donuts, pizza rolls, and pesto rolls. They were all great so I'm going to give 5 stars.
Original review: I was planning to get a meal here, but they said they were out of all lunch/dinner foods. I also had to ask to make sure everything was vegan, because there was nothing anywhere in the cafe saying anything about the place being vegan. I decided to just grab a dessert to take home and eat at home. I got the tiramisu cake, which was delicious, so that's a pro.
Pros: I loved everything that I've tried here
Cons: Out of savory food (just once)

Great food, troublesome experience - Edit
Their pastries are really tasty. Can't complain there! However the only reason I'd been going is because I heard they made croissants...
Read moreCroissant seekers: my advice is to call right when they open and/or show up as early as possible. (But I haven't succeeded yet - that's just where I left off.)
I made four separate trips to get croissants and to date am still empty handed. First I learn they're only available Friday through Sunday. Next I learn they usually run out sometime after 10 AM. Then I wake up early to find out they closed the minute I got at there at 8:25 due to air quality (had checked the website to see if they were open ahead of time). Finally I get there at 9 AM one day and hear that going before 10 AM is no guarantee and in fact they can sometimes run out the minute they open. So I may try to go at 8 AM someday, but this was a really frustrating way to learn how to buy a croissant at Timeless.

Oh so so good - Edit
They have so many vegan baked goods options! More extensive selection than the Berkeley location. Their raspberry cheesecake is to die for. The funfetti and coffee cakes were moist and the frosting was delicious.
