Lots of vegan options - Edit
A lovely pub with lots of vegan options. Quite simple but tasty. I had the tofu satay - the sauce was delicious and vegetable tacos. I also ordered the apple crumble which can be made vegan but would not recommend this one (apple strudel with some oats on top!) Overall nice to have a pub with lots of food options including desserts.

We were really looking forward to this menu as there are so many vegan options. We ate as a table of 9. Adults and children. Nice garden. Dog friendly. None of the food was terrible, most was ok, some was bad. I ordered the vegan pie with came in a tin bowl and had a rock hard topping. Not a pastry pie that I was expecting. Very small amount of veg accompanied. I ordered a knickerbocker glory for dessert, which wasn’t a knickerbocker glory. Had chocolate with fruit and neither the promised whipped cream or wafer. I tried the fruit in the crumble was nice (cooked cherries), but there wasn’t a baked topping, just a very light dusting of crumble.

It's a nice pub/inn. Nice outside area with some spots under cover in case it rains. They have a decent number of vegan options, all clearly marked. A soup, fajitas (with optional vegan chicken), burger, curry and pizza. Friendly staff as well.
Read moreWhen we found it hard to get vegan options at another place nearby we went back here to taste some extra dishes, Trusty indeed! We didn't need to reserve, but I hear this may be needed in peak season weekends.

Stayed at a campsite nearby. Of the four pubs I looked at, this by far had the best vegan and veggie options.
Read moreI added some chik’n (seitan) to my fajita. Generous portions with all the trimmings. A treat to have something other than chickpea curry or burger! Staff friendly - a proper pub.

Fairly cosy country pub with a surprisingly large veggie and vegan menu with some interesting choices.
Read moreI had the fish and chips. Far from the best I've had, but as they were using tofu it was pretty good (great batter, big portion, tartar sauce is a plus). The tofu didn't have the best flavours.
My partner had the vegan pizza. The small was plenty enough, and tasty.
Trigger warning however! This pub has A LOT of hunt paintings on the walls

Chickpea korma, fish and chips, fajitas, teriyaki “chicken”, burger, pizza, crumbles… all home made pub grub, not just flavorless swap ins.

Always tricky to find a warm cosy pub with decent options. Staff friendly and attentive. Plenty of options, really fresh and high quality while priced reasonably if its a treat - vegan options also labelled on wine menu!
