Good place for mixed diets - Edit
Several vegan options. I got the black bean burger and it was ok. Bar atmosphere and fun place to be. Nice place to go with the people who are not vegan.

Awesome Hangout - Edit
Vegan sushi, burger and large customisable salad bowls it has a small separate vegan menu which I appreciate. I love eating outside at the Broadway location. Expensive but nice atmosphere and hangout.

Good food, good atmosphere - Edit
Definitely a local hang out. Sports bar/family restaurant vibe.
Read moreI was surprised to see vegan options on the menu based on the outside appearance, but they have 2 vegetarian and 2 vegan options in conjunction with any burgers.
There is no vegan cheese, or sauces (excluding bbq and ketchup/mustard) so that's a bit of a bummer, but overall the food was cooked well and tasted fresh.
Happy hour runs 4-7pm daily, but the only vegan option was crispy cauliflower. There were 2 vegetarian options, including chips and queso or fried cheese curds.
Overall it was a good vibe and good food. Would love to see atleast 1 vegan cheese option for all the burgers they serve, and atleast 2 sauces to compliment the orders.
Pros: Prices, Atmosphere, TACOS!
Cons: No dipping/food sauces

Veg menu - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised by their separate veggie section. There were a couple options and more than just a veggie burger so that was pretty exciting. I still got the burger though, can't ignore the cravings when they hit.

Decent Options- Good for Mixed Diets - Edit
If you're looking for gourmet vegan options this isn't the place for you...HOWEVER it is a good place to go with a group of people who have mixed diets (vegan, veg, omni, carnivore) who all want to go to one place that everyone can have a meal. For a chain restaurant it is nice that they have more than one vegan option. My husband and I got the portobello tacos and the impossible burger- and were satisfied, it was a decent spot to grab a quick meal. The extensive beer menu is a huge draw if you're into that- and we liked it for that as well!

Very tiny vegan section - Edit
There only a few vegan items you can get here
Read more1. Impossible (~$12). (Half the price at BK 🤷♀️)
2. Portabella steak (tiny and very vinegary), you'll leave still hungry
3. Portabella tacos. Similar to the portabella steak.
4. Veggie roll (sushi). Need 2 as they are small
Love that there are options but they're not that tasty. I end up here a lot due to friends and bar.
NMB Happy hour menu has the veggie roll for $3 and some drinks for under $5. I try to go during that time if I have to go there.
Pros: Few vegan options
Cons: Not enough vegan options. Too much vinegar

Consistent quality and service!! - Edit
There are a couple of locations in Myrtle Beach (Carolina Forest and Broadway at the Beach). There is a small vegan/vegetarian section of the menu with good options that are tasty. I like the Vegan Portobello Tacos best!! I visit Myrtle Beach several times each year and always pay The Grumpy Monk a visit since their extensive menu makes it a good/easy option to visit with non-veg eaters.

AMAZING - Edit
I ordered the impossible burger and it was amazing! My friends who eat meat also loved their food. This trip to Myrtle beach has been a little difficult finding decent options for my dietary restrictions, but this place was awesome. We plan on coming back again before we leave. They also have apparel!!!

Poor Service - Edit
My wife and I visit Grumpy Monk often, have refereed friends and family to the Monk and tonight was a disaster on service. Our server took our order and we never saw her again at the table. I went to the bar to get second drink and waitress came up to apologies the she had a table of 12 on the deck and it was consuming her time. Asked hostess for check and puff waitress appeared at table with check. Double charged for beer that I got from bar.....just simply disheartening.

just okay - Edit
I appreciate that this restaurant offered more than one vegan and vegetarian option, but the food was bland. I got the portabella steak entree which could have used some seasoning. It was a little disappointing.
