Not really vegan

On the menu it’s states if you are ordering Vegan call the manager. I inquired why and was told just to make sure it is done correctly. The food did not taste too good. I decided to box it up and give to a person in need (just because I did not like it doesn’t mean a person with food insecurities might not appreciate a warm meal).

Pros: Close to the hotel, Amazing waitress

Cons: Not really Vegan , Food was not tasty/great

Attentive and considerate staff, even with limited vegan options

My family and I visited Abuelo's in peak Myrtle Beach tourist season. Despite them being very short-staffed (which most places in this area currently are), our experience here was good and the food was tasty.

I'm vegan (the other people in my family are not), and there is a dedicated vegetarian/vegan menu. They ask that vegans order directly with the manager on-duty to ensure that the order goes in correctly. I really appreciated their attention to detail on this (as consuming animal products can actually make me sick); the manager who was on-duty during our visit was extremely pleasant and accommodating.

There were not many vegan options, but what they had was tasty and had good portion sizes. I ordered the large guacamole as an appetizer; this was very well-sized. I then ordered vegetable fajitas for my entrée, which came with corn tortillas, black beans, cilantro-lime rice, Pico de Gallo, more guacamole, and an assortment of vegetables.

The service was a bit slow at times, but the restaurant did have notices up on their doors as we entered letting customers know that they would be slower due to staffing shortages. Since we were informed of this ahead of time, I cannot fault them for it. Anyone who complains about this doesn't have a valid complaint since this is made very clear before you even put your name in with the hostess.

All in all, we had a good dining experience and will definitely be back.

Pros: Makes sure that vegan orders are taken properly, Good portion sizes

Yummy food but high prices

My black bean burrito with the fixings was really yummy. Not sure why a small side of guacamole is $8.79 though.... at least my meal came with some included. But was also a bit pricey ($12.49)....

Pros: Yummy sides

Cons: On the pricey side

Nice restaurant to join others. Just be prepared...

There is a very and I mean very small choice of vegetarian entrees. The waiter we had was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Food was good for what we had. Vegans are almost out of luck here

Disappointing

We were hoping to piece together a vegan meal with rice, beans, corn tortillas, and salsa. In the end, only the nachos and guacamole were appetizing. Not recommended.

Pros: Service was quick.

Cons: Quality of the food was sub-par, and it was expens

Authentic & Tasty!

Introduced to us by friends as quality and authentic, I was pleased when I was offered a separate Vegetarian menu to order from. Heavy on the dairy ingredients, with some vegan sides. I expect vegan accommodation to entrees are possible as everything is done from scratch.

Pros: vegetarian menu available, nice atmosphere & service

Cons: have to ask for vegan options
