Beautiful cafe

Beautiful setting , next to loch goil, choose your fillings for a delicious vegan toastie, I also had the soup of the day and a wee hot chocolate, a perfect lunch for gazing over the stunning scenery.

Pros: Make your own toastie , Views , Friendly

Great Views!

We stopped here for a quick bite on the way to a family get together.

The menu for everyone, regardless of diet, is quite basic with around 8 types of toasty, cakes and a homemade soup on offer.

I loved that there was a clearly labeled vegan section with about 6 toasty fillings to choose from.

Because the menu is limited, it makes service quick and efficient, which was really handy!

They had multiple vegan cakes to choose from, too - next time!

A great spot for a quick snack, coffee, and phenomenal scenery.

Pros: The views!, Clear vegan options., Great staff!

Stunning views

The food was nice, not much choice with vegan options. We noticed the menu online listed more options than were at the cafe that day so perhaps better at off peak times. It was a busy day so there was a long wait for a table outside but everyone there was nice and it was great to have vegan lattes and toasties with a beautiful view ☺️

Tasty food and amazing view

Staff are super lovely and accommodating for vegan folk. Vegan options clearly marked and you can also make stuff up depending on your taste. I had a falafel cheezy pitta and it was delicious. Vegan cake too and the few is incredible.

Disappointed

We had high hopes for the place after reading some reviews of toasties etc. We vistited 01/10/2022 and they had a very limited menu with only 1 vegan option. The food isnt made here but bought from suppliers premade due to kitchen limitations (fair enough). With this, there was only 1 of the vegan options left which we shared between 2. We got a pulled oats burrito which was very small. We also got an oat latte, vegan hot chocolate, chocolate orange cake and lemon&blueberry cake. The place has an amazing location so its worth the drive but would only recommend to come for a drink/cake and enjoy the view. Maybe phone ahead for vegan food option if possible. The guy running it was really sound tho, shame the food options were lacking! Would return if food options improved.

Pros: Location, Friendly service

Cons: Minimal options

Vegan options in a rural location

I was very pleased to discover that this cafe had several vegan options which were clearly marked on the menu. The staff were knowledgeable about vegan food. I had the jackfruit, barbecue sauce and vegan cheese toastie which was very tasty. I also had the vegan hot chocolate deluxe (with marshmallows and cream) and a vegan blueberry and almond cupcake. The cafe has a lovely outlook across Loch Goil.

Pros: Friendly staff , Tasty food, Lovely location

Cons: Serves meat
