So-so

I arrived here at 6:30 pm; I thought this place was closed because the opening hours displayed on the glass door showed only morning opening hours of 11 am-3 pm, and there was a 'closed' sign too. Still, I didn't walk away because their Facebook page showed evening opening hours of 5:30 pm onwards, plus I noticed a family with a toddler dining inside. We waited for around 5 minutes and were about to leave when someone ran out of the restaurant to lead us into the restaurant, and they apologised for the confusion. About 20 minutes after we ordered our food, three families walked into the restaurant! Imagine the number of customers they've lost from just putting up the 'closed' sign.

This was a buffet restaurant before, but now they've changed it to serving mala hotpot with various plant-based ingredients to choose from. There weren't many Chinese gluten meats, but plenty of fresh veggies like broccoli, baby corn, kailan and mushrooms. Maybe because I'm from Singapore where there are so many mala hotpot eateries, I find their selections lack variety. If you're indecisive about what ingredients to take, have a look at the pictures I've uploaded. Highly recommend getting the lobak (ngoh hiang).

My husband and I each grabbed a plastic bowl to collect the ingredients we wanted for our hotpots. The price is based on the weight and type of components chosen. If I recall correctly, we spent around RM65 for two large bowls and two beverages. No difference between zhong la (level 2 spice) and xiao la (level 1 spice); my husband had level 1 and was dying from the spiciness, downing his icey smoothie to lower the heat in his mouth. Nonetheless, the food was delightful.

For beverage, I highly recommend that you get the sweet corn smoothie. The chrysanthemum tea was good, but it reminded me of Yeo's.

Pros: All vegan, Quick serving time

Cons: Slow ordering process (staff was confused), On the pricey side

Damn good!!!

Obviously the price you pay for is not enough to cover the food you eat. Vegan is another highlight. Just come and support. Namaste.

Pros: Vegan, Nice vibe, Good price

Cons: No parking
