Read moreWe ordered a jacket potato with cheese and a cheese toastie, which were both served with a mountain of salad and spicy crisps. Both dishes were hearty and flavoursome, whilst the free side of spicy mayo slaw was a lovely touch from the friendly staff. Great value for money at just £7 and £7.50.
We also shared two brownies, which were decent, just a shame these were the only vegan options available, as the non-vegan treats looked absolutely amazing.
Pros: Good food, Huge Portions , Staff and inexpensive

Hidden gem with great options - Edit
Really beautiful tucked away cafe with open brick and a log fire! The portions were amazing and the staff were really friendly - we had all the vegan sauces we could wish for!

Huge portions, lovely food - Edit
Great vegan options. We ordered soup and jacket potatoes with vegan cheese. The biggest jackets I've ever seen, served with a large side salad, tortilla chips and homemade vegan coleslaw. A lovely meal enjoyed by all the family. Great chef who was obviously enthusiastic about her vegan offerings. We were so full we couldn't manage a sweet treat, but did leave with two vegan chocolate scones to enjoy later.

My partner and I are always a bit mystified when somewhere serves cheese toasties and doesn’t have a vegan cheese option, same for coleslaw etc with vegan mayo. Well luckily we found the strawberry lounge and it does exactly that, with delicious melty vegan cheese and onion toastie, fresh salad and crisps! Big portions and very friendly owners who wanted to accommodate our dietary requirements.
