Amazing lemonade

I didn’t eat here but we did stop for some drinks. They have vegan milk available and also sell a really delicious lemonade.

It’s a nice atmosphere but it was very busy when we arrived so I’d recommend trying to avoid peak meal times.

Cute ambience. Tasty food. Kid friendly.

Has plenty of vegetarian options (and gluten free as well). Kid friendly stuff too - kids loved the CHOC chip pancakes and the butter spaghetti

Stella’s

Three stars because vegan options are limited, but there are a lot of vegetarian options. The hummus wrap is delicious, but not special. Nice atmosphere.

Pros: Big portions

Cons: Limited vegan options

No monkeys but great strawberry smoothie

We came to Stella’s primarily because we’d heard that monkeys visit the garden. Unfortunately they weren’t there when we were but we really enjoyed the food.

There are limited options. A pasta dish, salads and the hummus wrap, which is what we had. The wrap was tasty and a good size. It didn’t have loads of flavour but wasn’t oily (like a lot of the vegan options we’ve had around Monteverde) and had lots of fresh veg in it.

The strawberry smoothie with soya milk (they also have almond) was amazing. It tasted like a milkshake.

Pros: Not oily, Plant milk, Great staff and location

Cons: Limited options

Very nice little place

We stopped here on our way out of the Monteverde Biological Reserve hoping for some vegan pastries. They don't have those, but we had salads and hummus wraps, as well as a personal-sized loaf of bread that was delicious. It had fresh herbs baked in and was fresh out of the oven. The salad was fairly small. Nothing knocked us out in terms of flavor, but everything seemed fresh.

Lovely atmosphere, good quick stop.

Pros: A few vegan options, Easy to find, Free WiFi

Cons: Only one vegan "baked good" (a bread)
