Great vegan options! - Edit
Great place to find some vegan options if you will be staying in the area for a few nights and plan on cooking a meal or two. Would recommend only getting vegan items here though that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. It was quite pricey.

The place has a great vibe. Fruit and vegetables look much better then in the supermarket BV and they are are as local as possible. Vegan options are by far the best you can find around and they really know there stuff.
Read moreTry the homemade peanut butter that you can fill into paper cups, so you only have to buy as much as you really need. And the Finger beer and Kombucha they sell is also hand made in the Valley.

Stop by if you’re looking for tofu or meat replacements! The only store I’ve visited with more than two packages of tofu at a time. Fresh vegan banana bread also!

Vegan cheese, milk, fresh banana bread, ice cream, fruit, and many snacks. Not the hugest selection of vegan stuff, but a lot better than you get at most places. Really quite expensive though.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag of lime flavored plantain strips. O..M..G. To die for. They have a nice little fridge/freezer selection of vegan/veggie stuff. I was pleasantly surprised!

I don’t think this store deserves the attribute wholefoods. Yes, some fruit and veg was great and they say it’s orgsnuc, others like the red mediterranean capsicum were dried and everything but fresh. They have some great products like Pacific Mushroom Broth which I haven’t seen before, at least not in Australia, but other products are rather average, lots of unhealthy and not special stuff like Ritter Sport chocolate (no, it’s not vegan or organic). I was rather disappointed. That they were low on chilled products like some of the vegan alternatives is ok due to low season. The packed banana bread doesn’t have a label that it is not vegan and apparently it’s not. They also have some sliced banana bread which is told to be vegan.

We stayed 300 meters from that shop and at first, I was very excited to have it so close but finally we had to do our shopping in the market down the street. We went to Wholefoods to buy a few products for our breakfast but left without them. The choice of vegan or healthy food is very limited. They don't even have such things like maple syrup or vegan milk (!!!) Staff don't know what they are selling, so asking questions was pointless. Everything was expensive.

Great organic grocery store - Edit
I was heading for the CASEM artisan shop and found this place to be right next to it. It’s so nice to see vegan fresh products like hoummous, empanadas, burgers to cook.. They even had vegan banana bread !
