Wonderful ice cream and brownies - Edit
Don’t usually bother with brownies are they are usually dry. But these were amazing. Had the coconut and mango ice cream with brownie and was blown away.

Colombo's hidden treasure - Edit
Tired and hungry, I stopped in at Smokey's Café this afternoon. The owner, Tash, had been totally inundated with brownie orders and was mid way through baking when I arrived. Despite being so busy, she got me sat down with a drink and whipped me up a delicious peanut noodle bowl which was exactly what I needed! She gave me a taste of her homemade ice creams which were out of this world (try the mango-coconut, it's INSANE) and I finished it all off with one of her famous brownies. I can genuinely say this was the best brownie I've had since starting my travels around Asia. Would 100% recommend to any hungry vegans in Colombo. Plus Tash is a beautiful human being who has clearly put her heart and soul into this café. Show her some of that good vegan love!

We visited the cafe today. We had delicious ice creams. We tried both the pineapple-coconut and mango coconut. Each of us was very happy withwhat we chose.

While waiting for our brownies to be packed, we tried their coconut milk based ice creams which are made in house. We tried chocolate, avocado and pineapple coconut. The texture is perfect! Super silky and smooth, served at the right temperature. Tastes delicious too. Doesn’t have the odd coconut taste you often get in store bought coconut based ice creams.

I've been to Smokey's cafe a couple of times and I must say the smoothies are amazing!. I've tried the avo-toast and although it was a bit pricey, it tastes great!. For all you dessert lovers, I would recommend trying a slice of chocolate brownie with a scoop of coconut ice-cream on top. They go well together and its super addictive. You have been warned!! :). The meals were freshly prepared and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Tashii is super cool and the place is super cool too..seriously, its air-conditioned:) Highly recommend checking them out.

The brownies and other food and drink sold at this café are out of this world good. The owner puts her heart out to make everything plant based and delicious. An enterprise well worthy of patronage by anyone visiting or living in Sri Lanka.

I went there unfortunately just once while in Sri Lanka, but it was totally worth. I got to be one of the first to try their amazing breakfast bowls and I made sure to take a batch of those amazing brownies home. The place is cozy with a cool vibe and the owner is super nice and accomodating...will come back one day for these brownies again:)

I was only in Colombo for 1 day, I’m glad I found this place! The owner was super nice and the Avocado Toast was amazing! Prices are super reasonable, and even though I normally avoid sweets, I was convinced to try the Brownie and home made vegan ice cream! OMG it was amazing!

I’m a healthy vegan, normally! But oh my these brownies are irresistible. I do not think that I ever had a brownie tastier than this. They also have delicious fruit teas and fresh juices (made with fresh fruit). The chocolate cake shake is the ultimate in sweet sensations. I also love that they deliver for a small fee. I don’t have to leave the office to pickup my brownie.

It took us a little while to find as their shop front has not been set up with signage yet (though he said it's coming soon) but I'm so glad we found it! The brownie shake is basically a thick liquid brownie and the stuff is rich in flavour but good on price. It would be great to see them expand their menu as they become more established!

Although still a delivery business, Smokey's now as a shop front in Mt Lavania in a cute little space. I came on opening day and had the choice of chocolate brownies, lava muffins, brownie cake as well as a variety of iced teas. Brownie is rich and soft and my mint ice tea was lovely.
