Delicious!

I have been here a couple of times, and it never disappoints! Delicious and spicy. My favourite dish chana saag wasn't on the menu (although their saag aloo is amazing as well), but I asked for it and they made it especially. Simply amazing!

not great

I ordered three dishes with my 2 friends, each to come with rice. When I arrived to collect, we were given 3 portions of rice and only 2 dishes. They then initially said my friend had to spend over 15 euro by card to pay, until she argued she was missing a dish. The food itself wasn't great (I eat a lot of indian as it's my favourite food). Quite bland. I specifically requested no fresh coriander and yet the dishes had coriander. I personally wouldn't eat here again.

It was a tasty treat

I had sent an email on Friday to make a table booking for Sunday and did receive a call from restaurant within 5 hours just to confirm on my booking request and answer couple of questions which I had related to our diet requirement.

We visited the restaurant on Sunday and it was some what busy for dine-in but the take away seemed to be very busy. Our COVID certificate was checked and our identity was validated by checking a photo identity document. Restaurant seemed to be well maintained and it was very clean and hygienic. Interior was well done and just gave the vibe of dinning in a fancy restaurant.

Coming to food, we ordered below items and based on our taste buds here are the ratings for each item..

1. Papadoms (Its complementary) - 5/5 (the sauces which they bring with Papadoms are too good)
2. Starter - Aloo Kerau Chatpat - 4/5
3. Mango Lassi - 3.5/5 (I was expecting it to be bit thicker)
4. Garlic Chilli Masala (with Paneer and Vegetables) - Paneer is cottage cheese - 4.5/5
5. Chapathi/Roti - 5/5
6. Dessert - Gajor ka Halwa (made of Carrot served with Ice cream) - 5/5

Overall the food experience was fantastic and the service was out standing as well. They 100% take care of your diet requirement.

The only negative thing I thought of was, the quantity which was served was small in portion; except that everything else was just beyond expectation. My actual overall rating for this restaurant will be 4.5/5

A must visit place if you are in or around Buncrana.

Thanks,
Raj

Wow ! Great Indian in Donegal

Many years ago I spent some time in Buncrana and knowing that vegan food would be hard to find I did a Google and found Sherpa. It looked promising - and it turned out to be excellent.
When we arrived we advised the staff that were are vegan and moments later the chef came out and discussed with us what we'd like to eat. We gave him carte blanche (as long as it was vegan) and he produced a wonderful spicy curry. We were so impressed that we came back the next evening and picked two dishes from the menu which the chef again discussed with us and came back with vegan versions. What a helpful guy !
The restaurant is obviously very popular with locals as it was very busy both nights.
Definitely worth a visit.

Pros: Chef will make vegan dishes to order, Great food
