Very tasty and filling breakfast - Edit
We were staying in the nearby/linked Chalet Saudade so breakfast came provided here. Great veggie breakfast (could easily be made vegan) and they also can do gluten free. Lovely staff.

A nice cafe near the Sintra train station. Serves some vegan options for breakfast/brunch/lunch. Can get very busy. Minus one star for the worst latte I had in Portugal.

Nice service, nice location. It's also easy to get there as it is directly at the Sintra station. Take the sandwich instead of the salad. The salad has only Hummus on top and no dressing. So it was a bit dry. The sandwich was good. They had no vegan cake option when we were there.

Delicious vegan salad, happy for the options - Edit
We were traveling with family who are not vegan so I'm always grateful to stumble into a place with 1-2 vegan options! This cafe was so cute, we sat outside in the garden area and it really set the mood for Sintra. The vegan salad was beautifully presented and delicious with mashed chickpeas! My husband had the vegan sandwich which he really liked. They also had oat/soy milk for coffee. Next time I want to try the vegan cake 😋

Not entirely vegan nor vegetarian. For breakfast I had a soy milk capuccino, a freshly squeezed orange juice and a delicious filling hummus tomato arugula gluten free sandwich. The staff was very nice and the place is super cozy and sweet. The prices are not super cheap but it was worth it.

I specifically asked the waiter about vegan options and he told me about a vegan panini or salad. Would’ve been nice to know that they put cheese on it before I ate a bunch of it. The staff was not very friendly either and suspected that my dad and I were going to dine and dash.

Cafe very close to the train station. No vegan options on the menu but have vegan panini and vegan sandwich when you ask. The panini was 7€ so very much overpriced but there aren't many vegan options in the area. It had many veggies in it and tasted good and healthy.

There aren't a ton of vegan options in Sintra, but we were really happy to find Saudade! This restaurant is just a minute or two from the train station, so you don't have to wander far for great food. I didn't see any vegan options on the menu, but I asked our waitress and she instantly suggested this panini. Everyone working there knew what vegan meant, which is always a bonus. The panini was really yummy, and quite filling. My husband also ordered a coffee with soy milk and some olives.

Delisious vegan optins in Sintra - Edit
Very happy with the meal I had in Café Saudade. The soup is delicious and even if not on the menu, you can ask for a vegan toast/sandwich wich may have avocado or chickpea, depending on the availability. I trust you, you won't be dissapointed!

Saudade is situated few metres from the train station in Sintra. I had a vegan sandwich that wasnt listed on the menu but I asked for it. It was quite tasty but too small for me. I also had cafe latte with soy milk. It was too hot and not very tasty.
Read moreOverall, as it is maybe only veg-friendly place in Sintra, I would suggest you to go there for a little pick-me-up but dont expect anything more.

This place is great - reasonably priced and a few vegan options! The staff were very helpful, their soups are general vegan (they change each day), they make a delicious vegan sandwich (either toasted or fresh) and also a vegan salad.
