Some vegan options - Edit
Small shop selling fruit bars, vegan popsicles and several vegan food items, both savoury and sweet, as well as personal care items and a few containers of bulk foods. Some seating available. I took away a generous slice of quiche, made with chunks of beet and other vegetables - very healthy, if not hugely flavourful. The dessert slice was nice.

Small and friendly restaurants and shop - Edit
We had a nice lunch here, we could choose from more vegan option. We had a tasty cream soup and a vegan burger with vegetables. The staff was very kind as well.

€2:95 for tap water be warned! - Edit
I ordered some tap water as couldn't see anything else I fancied drinking and we have been drinking the tap water all over Portugal and it is usually free in restaurants. Surprised to be charged €2:95 for it. No mention of the fact it cost twice what the mineral water on the menu and no warning when ordering. They filter it or something and then apparently feel they can charge a ridiculous fee for it!
Read moreMy partner had soup which he said was good but we had to ask for bread to go with it when it came. I had the quiche (which it said on the confusing menu had eggs but when I asked they have vegan and non vegan versions). The quiche was mostly spinach and came with a huge side salad. Not very tasty unfortunately.
Pros: Had healthy vegan food
Cons: Tap water cost €2:95 with no warning, Food not tasty or filling , Labelling difficult to understand

Little venue with a big heart - Edit
The food is beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. It is not so far from the train station as there is a little stairway through from the street above. They also sell other food items and objects supporting a sustainable lifestyle

Just didn't hit the spot - Edit
The shop is quite nice and the staff is super friendly. Food unfortunately just didn't hit the spot for us. It's very "healthy" and simple. Not the right place if you are a hangry tourist.
Read moreI had the beetroot muffin. I didn't like the texturte at all.
The quiche was okay. The salad coming with it quite nice!
The salame sweet reminded me very much of a protein bar.

good for a snack in Sintra - Edit
As the review before, I also saw the sign with the special offer “vegan cupcake salad -3,90€”.
Read moreThe cupcake was a muffin and savoury, but quite good as a little snack. The salad was a surprisingly nice portion.
Our drinks were fine, too.
The cafe features a little supermarket with organic groceries, many of them are vegan, but rather expensive (compared to the food).
A solid option when in Sintra!

Vegan Snack - Edit
Stopped there today after seeing the inviting board on the street for “Vegan Cupcake and Salad € 3.50”. It’s a cute little café with some market items (small selection). Also advertises Yoga, massages and acupuncture. The cupcake was tiny but very good and came with a decent portion of well presented salad. As I said: a snack portion. Very disappointing was the coffee- espresso € 1.80 plus 0.15 extra for vegan option soymilk. At €1.80 ( in Portugal an espresso costs usally € 0.70 !!!) there is no need to charge extra for soy milk in a vegan friendly café. Service was also quite slow. #Veganuary

Cheap food. Not the tastiest. Staff seemed really inattentive and didn’t look at me when I went inside or when I went to the counter to order.

Vegan cafe and shop in Sintra - Edit
Cute and quaint vegan cafe and shop located in Sintra, Portugal
Read moreFood***
We ordered the vegan burger and it was definitely one of the more interesting we’ve tasted. Planted on a bed of delicious cabbage this burger was very good but not the best in terms of flavor profile and taste. The cabbage is what saved this dish because it was the most delicious cabbage I’ve ever had. There were not many vegan options on the menu but there was enough for us to order a meal. They had several vegan desserts but we didn’t have room for those! They looked scrumptious though!
Atmosphere***
The Café was very cute but they do not have a lot of seating this would not be good for a larger party. It’s possible we didn’t see the other seating area so I will still give this three stars since our experience was pleasurable. Parking offsite but streets are narrow as of most of Sintra.
Service****
The waitress was very nice and accommodating to all our needs.
Price$$
Under 15usd and definitely worth a try!

too healthy - Edit
The food was fine but a little bit too healthy for my liking. Would be perfect if that’s your thing but there was no sweetness to the deserts etc. Staff were nice though and they sold a lot of unusual and hard to find things though!

Delicious, freshly made food - Edit
Tiny cafe with vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and other healthy options. We ordered pizza with a quinoa crust that was tasty but tiny. Also ordered a veggie wrap that was topped with seeds, included a veggie soup and coffee. Very good. For dessert we tried a chocolate, coco tart sweetened only with dates. It was rich, chocolaty and oh so sweet. I asked if it was really sugar free and was assured that it was. Just like eating pure chocolate it was to die for! Also enjoyed a milky coffee with oat milk. Enjoyed our lunch and would eat there again when in Sintra.

Delicious wholesome food - Edit
Has a focus on 'functional and balanced meals' which, for the buckwheat pancakes I had, meant they were super tasty without being overfilling. Vegan hot chocolate was delicious and not sweet.

Laughable - Edit
The place and employees are nice, but the portions are laughably small. As a vegan, you need at least three dishes to have an adequate number of calories. Not only that, but they don’t take international cards. The food tasted OK, but definitely wouldn’t go back.

My sintra Savior! - Edit
I had been so hungry and protein deprived the past few days in Sintra, this place was my saving grace for a big vegan lunch, coffee and even a dessert! Aftet i bought lots of protein bars, but butters and bulk foods from the small “grocery store” to get me through the coming week. Nice location just below the train station, and there is a wellness center attached that looks lovely for yoga or massages. Thank you!

Encontrei este café por acaso, e que feliz acaso esse. Comi um burguer de grão-de-bico delicioso, acompanhado por uma salada com um molho bastante saboroso. Só senti falta de algum hidrato de carbono, mas fiquei satisfeita.

Really Nice place - Edit
Found this place after a long day of walking in all tourist places in sintra, and all i wanted was a nice dishe and thats what i had! We ate a soup which had chia seeds, vegan burger all homemade and natural and a natural carrot juice . The menu was very cheap, around 7.50€. If you are in Sintra is really close to the station and worth it!

We came at 645 - they were closing at 7. The person behind the counter said that she would not make food for us. So are u open until 7 or not? Anyways what kind of food restaurant closes at 7 . All turned out great we went to a veggie options close by restaurant metamorphosis behind the train station that has great vegan options- ditch this one

Amazingly fresh. The food and the tranquil vibe. My broccoli soup was light, tasty, with a surprising addition of poppy seeds. Delicious! And then the salad..wow. So simple yet so good. Fresh, crunchy, juicy, perfect. I had a small savory snack too. Yummy. Thank you so much for this refreshing and soothing experience. Much success to this important project!
