I had the taco with coconut ice cream, covered in dark chocolate with almonds. It was quite enjoyable and nice to get vegan ice cream in a sort-of-waffle.
Read moreThe vegan taco is also gluten free, but it's still quite good. It would be nice though to have a vegan option with gluten.
The ice cream flavours they had were coconut, thin mint, and cold brew. I wished they had more than three flavours at a time, some of the flavours mentioned in other reviews sounded really tasty.
All toppings are clearly marked whether they are vegan making it easy to order.

Unique way to eat vegan ice cream - Edit
How did I never know of this place! Love the taco way to eat ice cream and love that they have 3 vegan options every day. Been there twice so far. First time I had a taco with vegan chocolate ice cream, vegan waffle with dark chocolate dip which was really good if you are a chocolate lover like me. My husband had the vegan Thai tea ice cream which was pretty good. Second time I had a vegan taco with blueberry lemonade with dark chocolate dip and pista. My husband had the vegan taco with chocolate ice cream and a vegan peanut butter dip. I thought all these were pretty good and I would go back for the uniqueness. Staff is very nice and were knowledgeable of vegan options.

They had 3 vegan flavors, offer vegan waffle topping and dark chocolate dip. Very delicious - 4 stars simply because they are not an all vegan place. However, for this area, 3 vegan options is quite a lot!

The mini tacos were perfectly sized. Be sure to wait a couple of minutes before consuming so you don’t burn yourself. ✨💖✨

UPDATE SINCE UBE ICE CREAM: Vegan flavors can be a hit or a miss. That Ube ice cream was fabulous, but last week I got a very icy Java chip style almond milk base. It can be an incredible vegan ice cream place and also a very sub-par one. Make sure you taste test!

Wait - Choco tacos ?! I honestly did not know this was a real thing. The dark chocolate and peanut butter dips are vegan. They had 3 types of vegan ice cream flavors when I went this week, others are dairy based. It would be great to have a few more options. Make sure to specify vegan taco.
Read moreI ordered a small taco but they messed up my order and gave me a large one. I won’t complain about that but it was soooo filling hahah so come hungry for dessert.
Indoor seating is not a thing due to COVID atm. There is a water dispenser but no cups, bring your own cup or water bottle. Everything is recyclable or compostable - no trash bin!!!

Ice cream was icy. Taco was half empty inside. Glad they have vegan options though! Hours are wrong for Sundays. See their website.

Rocko's Ice Cream Taco Truck - Edit
We had an event in Sunnyvale where Rocko's Ice Cream Tacos' Food Truck showed up, and I was elated to see they had a vegan taco option! (They also had one vegan ice cream scoop flavor.) I had never had an ice cream taco before, and it was really good😄Obviously, on a food truck, they don't have as many options as they probably have at the actual shop, so I will have to swing by the shop itself whenever I'm in the area next!

I can't believe I live close by and never knew about this place!! I woke up craving affogato but didn't know where I can get a vegan one. A quick search on Happy Cow got me to the place that is only 9 minutes away from my house. And wow, this was amazing!! They have 4 solid vegan ice cream flavors, vegan dips, vegan ice cream taco (I know!) And... They do affogato😄This is going to be our new favorite place.

I mean the title just says it all! Homemade ice cream. So good. 4 vegan flavors. Vegan waffle cone (for the taco) and 2 vegan dips for the taco (peanut butter and dark chocolate).
