What a lovely host!

A couple of vegan options - hearty platter, sandwich and or chips... Plus a couple of options for dessert. Plus all the locally brewed beers and wine.

But honestly the best thing is the welcoming vibe and lovely host! What a gem of a place... Invited us in with our dogs and had a lovely vibe.

Pros: Friendly atmosphere , Attentive , Comedy

Very nice dinner, fantastic host

It was full booked, but they were able to arrange a table for us. The food was really good and the host was really nice. Highly recommended.

Welcoming and accommodating

A little gem of a café which is much needed after a visit to the forest and beach. The day I visited dairy free hot drinks were available, a couple of vegan options on the menu and 3 different vegan desserts - impressive for a small menu and business. The owner is lovely and the café is a real asset to the village.

Pros: Selection of desserts, Tasty food, Allows dogs

Super friendly, something for everyone

We popped in for a tea one morning, and loved the feeling of the place so much we came back the next day for lunch!

This is a lovely café run extremely competently and with really friendly service. The owner makes an effort to cater for everyone, with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

When we were there (September 2021), there were three vegan options for lunch: a vegan platter with olives, bread, sun-dried tomatoes etc, and two fillings for 6 inch sub sandwiches - smoked Applewood "cheddar" or coronation chickpea. We had the latter and it was really delicious! The sauce was flavourful and it was served quickly. We also had the chips, which were divine. Other items on the menu can be made vegan as well.

For dessert (!), I had the pistachio and carrot cake - another winner. There are normally two vegan options for cake, bit there had been a run on the first one, which was also gluten-free.

One more thing to note is that the café takes Covid restrictions very seriously, so bring your mask if applicable.

I can't say enough good things about this café, so if you're in the area, definitely give it a visit!

Pros: Great staff, Lots of options (and very tasty), All Covid regulations adhered to
