Great vegan options!

Delicious vegan options with beautiful outdoor patio. Decent prices and delectable portions. There are 5 dedicated vegan dishes and an additional 5 dishes that can be made vegan. Friendly staff and great ambiance!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Nice patio , Friendly staff

one of my favorites! (5 stars!)

Rainbow is one of my all time favorite places in Fort Collins. Their food is always fresh tasting and never upsets my tummy. Great breakfast!

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I can't believe the negative comments regarding breakfast. Rainbow is terrific!

As mentioned earlier, there are only two items labeled as "vegan," however, almost anything on the menu can be made vegan on request. For example, my hubby is addicted to their breakfast burrito which he orders vegan--it comes with tofu and vegan cheez.

My favorite is the tofu scramble which is, as mentioned earlier, a bit dry. I remedy that by ordering a side of black beans which I dump on the top. Presto! Not dry!

I order my toast (which is made from homemade bread) dry and really enjoy their delicious fruit jam.

Another benefit of Rainbow: it's very omni-friendly. When I started a new job and was being taken out to lunch. I chose Rainbow and everyone was very happy. I was able to eat my vegan food, and my co-workers were happy with their burgers, soups, etc.

Other great things: they offer regular and hazelnut coffee. Soy or almond milk is available to use as creamer. Their staff is super friendly (especially the owners) and knowledgeable about what is vegan or can be made vegan.

In warm weather, the back patio is a wonderful place to sit. There's lots of shade, so you don't have to worry about sunburn.

Pros: Best place in FoCo for vegan breakfast, Almost anything can be made vegan, Omni-friendly.

Cons: Long waits on weekends., Not much parking.

Barely vegan

We have been here multiple times. They only have 2 vegan options and we are tired of them. The vegan coffee cake is good but we try to avoid fats so don't order it often.

Pros: Have 2 vegan dishes, Clean, Friendly staff

Cons: Have ONLY 2 vegan dishes

Not impressed!

We were excited to try this place, as several of our new FOCO acquaintances said it was good. We ordered the tofu scramble and the vegan coffee cake. The scramble was disappointing - not really a typical breakfast scramble at all. It consisted of cubes of tofu sautéed with veggies, so rather a stir fry more than a scramble. The home fries were good, and the bread was tasty. They make their own jelly which was also disappointing - very runny with little flavor. We will not be back unless there are significant changes. We agree with the previous reviewer that this place is not really vegan friendly at all.

Pros: cute place with fun decor, vegan coffee cake is very good

Cons: slow service, unappetizing food, few vegan options

Used to be better

There are only two main vegan brunch options left on this menu - scrambled tofu and sautéed tempeh. The food was decent but they used to have many more vegan options on their old menu. They really should at least offer vegan pancakes and breakfast burrito. Not very vegan friendly anymore in my opinion.

Nice Lunch

We were in town for lunch and found this spot. We enjoyed the cashew tofu with a peanut sauce. We also ordered the Ali Baba lettuce tacos. Nice sauce. We could of used more spice. Unfortunately no bread for us:(

awesome food!!

The spot is a great place for vegetarians, vegans and non. The patio provides a cozy and serene spot to sit outside. They also have their own fresh organic garden growing on the patio. Definitely one of my top two spots in Fort Collins for vegetarian options.

Good place for veg*ns and meat-eaters

The Rainbow is a great place to bring friends and family if you're trying to please veg*ns and meat-eaters. Pretty much anything on the menu can be made vegetarian, many things can be made vegan, and they do offer some meat items as well. Menu is well labeled and staff is very knowledgeable. One of the only places in Fort Collins that has vegan brunch options, though pancakes, French toast, and waffles are unfortunately not vegan. Excellent tempeh and tofu--no seitan on the menu at this time. The rolls that come with most dishes aren't vegan, so ask for the vegan focaccia bread instead.

Pros: Large menu, Excellent tofu and tempeh, Vegan brunch options

Cons: Hours change each season, Crowded at lunch

A Favorite Place

I fell in love with Rainbow on my first visit!
The atmosphere is friendly & welcoming & the food is wonderful. I try to order somethng new everytime I go & have enjoyed everything I've chosen. When people ask to go to someplace unique & local this is on the top of my list of places to take them. Portions are large & there is something to please everyone on the menu.

It only allows me to give 4 cows to a restaurant that serves meat but trust me - it is truely easy to eat veg here & I'd love to give it 5!

Pros: friendly staff & atmophere, excellent food, healthy cuisine

The only semi-vegetarian place in town

This is generally considered the vegetarian restaurant in FTC, but of course they sell chicken and fish. They have lots of vegetarian and quite a few vegan items. The restaurant is actually a converted house, so the inside is like eating in someone's home. They have a really cute patio that is great in the summertime. Right off campus--street parking.

Pros: Vegan options, atmosphere, Near campus

Cons: Not vegetarian, Could be more vegan options

Great Restaurant

A friend brought my family to this restaurant since we had a vegan in our group. The food was great and the vegan had no worries as our server was vegan as well and very educated regarding the ingredients and preparation of the foods.
The inside is cute too!

Pros: Friendly, Good options, tastes good

Cons: parking
