2 vegan flavors

Went here with friends. They had 2 vegan flavors and a sorbet. Staff is knowledgeable, they told us right away which flavors are vegan and which cones were vegan as well. They also told us right away that their house made waffle cone was not vegan which is always appreciated. Available flavors at the time were coffee and dark chocolate and the cucumber like sorbet. We went for the dark chocolate which it was good. Single scoop is huge. Friendly staff.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff on vegan items

Cons: Only 2 vegan flavors

Currently 2 vegan options

I’m happy to have a fun place to go to get ice cream. Usually there are 2 flavors that are vegan 🌱.

The tragedy is that the vegan ice cream flavor is mediocre at best. The purple moon is way too artificial tasting for me. (maybe it’s a European thing- it was giving me bubble gum flavor). The other one I tried was peanut 🥜 chocolate 🍫 and it was watery, chunky and had oats in it - that I mistakenly perceived as cardboard until I looked closer. 🤦🏼

I hope they grow a bit in effort to make it more enjoyable. Even this all sounds very negative I’m happy that they have vegan options. I would love to change my rating to a higher one.

Good Option for Ice Cream

When I went to Purple Door, there was only one vegan option in the scoopable ice cream selections. They had quite a few to-go container vegan options, but we were out for the evening and wanted ice cream while walking around, not to take home. The ice cream was good but nothing spectacular. Flavors are unusual, which is fun, but with only one vegan choice, it wasn't as exciting as my companions' choices.

Pros: Vegan Option, Unusual Flavors, Friendly Service

Cons: Not Enough Vegan Options, Crowded, Long Line Moved Slowly, Ice Cream is Ok but Nothing Spectacular
