I’ve eaten from here several times. Each time, the food has been very good. I’ve never visited the restaurant , I’ve always just ordered delivery. The food always comes packaged well and prepared well.

Excellent downtown/Loop vegan place. They are especially known for their bowls, but their sandwiches are great as well. A fantastic option to pick up if you are in the Loop. Be sure to try their homemade cookies, they are excellent as well!

A comment on happy cow stated: ‘Do not skip it!’ So true! I am so happy I got to eat there. I got the Yucatan Mayan bowl 🍲 and it was not only outstanding flavors but also loaded with protein. It had a decent amount of well seasoned tofu in it! (I feel many times these bowls contain way too little tofu, so this was a surprise.) the portion was also big. I loved the spices, sauces and seasonings and the mix of beans, coconut kale, tofu, guacamole and yellow rice.

The location is in a food marketplace with many options, so it’s a good place to come with non vegan 🌱 friends and eat lunch together.
Update: This time I had the California bowl and it was very tasty, but I wished it had more tofu but found the additional sides for 7/8$ a bit pricy. Taste was incredible though.

3rd - being from the south, this is a must try for any vegan

I followed the trend and ordered the bowl w/Buffalo bites, mac & cheese, and broccoli. So. Good. Really liked the flavor of the bites, but they were a bit heavy/chewy, so I'd probably try another side instead next time. The crunchy shallots on the mac were perfect, and the cheese sauce wasn't weird and noochy, like so many are. The garlic broccoli was perfect.

Stopped in to try a seitan PO boy and tots. The PO boy had no flavor at all and the tots where average. It was like they didn't season the seitan at all. Very disappointed.

We came here for lunch after seeing other reviews and were not disappointed. All vegan, lots of different options, and everything we had was delicious. I had the Yucatán Mayan bowl and my fiancé had the Bangkok Curry bowl. Both were excellent!

Loved how many things they had here. My husband got a black bean quinoa burger that had to be eaten with a fork and knife and my meatball sandwich also did not hold up to the bread. But the flavor was spot on. They also have the best tater tots!

The Plant Junkie is in the Urbanspace Food Court. You order at the counter. Plenty of tables. All indoor. Lots of variety of food for everyone in the court in case you are with a group. Gluten-free buns available! You can also create your own bowl from a variety of sides! Some of the bowl ingredients are served cold others hot!

We have some special dietary needs and they were more than willing to accommodate and customize the menu. Everything is freshly made and with a great variety. The bowls are huge with tasty items. Large variety of burger types too.

Came to Chicago and tried this place for the first time. The sandwiches are good but the dishes are amazing. We tried the Sri Lanka and the Mayan one and they are amazing. Also the buffalo wings miam !!!

My husband and I shared the Mayan Bowl and it was outstanding. We aren’t big fans of fake meat so were happy to see they had other healthy options. The bowl had kale, beans, rice and tofu with a delicious sauce. Flavors were outstanding!
