I've not eaten meat for over 50 years and have been vegan since 2021 . One of my hobbies is visiting vegan restaurants and writing reviews about them on Happy Cow; I have been to over a thousand HappyCow places from North and South America, Europe, and Asia--I find that even the less good places (the ones I rate with 2 stars) are still usually much better than non-vegan places.
