Nice vegan Italian food - Edit
We had a great dinner here. Lots of vegan options and the staff were knowledgeable. We had the garlic bread, chips, spaghetti napoletana and spaghetti puttanesca. We left very full!

Um, okay. - Edit
Wasn’t quite sure what we walked into -
Read moreWe called up to make a booking, to be told that they don’t take bookings but it was quiet.
We got there soon after and it was absolutely packed! We put our name down and were asked to sit outside. It was about 5 degrees, lol. We weren’t offered anything, other waiting customers either popped to the liquor shop next door, or pulled Jack Daniels our of there cooler bags.
The entertainment of watching the locals made it worth waiting in the freezing cold. 🤠
Once we got inside, we were lucky enough to score a booth; we asked for table water and got weird black floaties in it, so we quickly ordered drinks that came in cans.
I ordered the garlic bread, which was just flat bread with oil and chunks of garlic, lmao.
I ordered the vegetarian pizza with vegan cheese, which they happily catered for.
The pizza had no colour and the cheese was grey???
The best part of the experience was watching the locals, words can’t describe how strange and fantastic it was.
I would only recommend going here if nowhere else is open, pretty pricey, no table service, the staff were okay, but the entertainment was priceless.
Pros: Vegan cheese., Kid with mullet., Entertainment!
Cons: Expensive., Less than average food., No table service.

Very nice - Edit
We had dinner there on a Sunday night, it was packed at 5:30pm and we had to wait outside for a table.
Read moreThe food was nice, pizza and eggplant parmi both vegan cheese.
They charge extra for vegan cheese and there's a weekend surcharge as well, so we ended paying $54 for 2 dishes which was a little steep compare to Sydney.
However it's probably the best vegan dinner I had so far in Katoomba, and I'd go again.
Pros: Location, Free BYO, Service was great
Cons: Don't take bookings, No vegan desserts

lots of vegan options, very tasty - Edit
On a super busy night, we expected to wait but the meals came out rather quickly. The meals are good size, meaning not stupidly big like many places. They don’t take bookings, so it’s a first in kinda place. Inside and outside seating, popular with families.

Got there on a Saturday at 5.30, it was packed ! Luckily we got to share a table with two nice strangers.
Read moreMenu has quite a few vegan options (one pizza, or make your own with $3 vegan cheese option, 3 psta dishes), the eggplant parmiggiana was tasty (super oily and salty though)
To sum up: awesome delicious food but definitely not on the healthy side
Pros: Many different options vegan
Cons: Only one vegan pizza, Needs better heating and insulation (it was cold)

In the centre of Katoomba - location, location - Edit
We went for lunch with some non vegan friends and the food was very good but a touch on the greasy side. However, you dine here one assumes not for health but only taste. There was lots of vegan choice clearly marked. We managed to get a table outside; it was very loud and crowded inside - a popular spot. The service was great and very friendly.

Great family atmosphere - Edit
Papa Dinos is a friendly and inviting restaurant. Not a vegan or vegetarian place, but has great vegan options, including vegan cheese available with pasta and pizza. They also have a really nice eggplant parmigana which is vegan, and can also do vegan sweet cannelloni for desert.
Read moreReally friendly staff and an atmosphere that is great for children, or parties with mixed dietary needs.
Also has gluten free pizza bases. $20ish for mains.
Can get busy and doesn't take bookings, so if you have a big party come early.
Pros: Vegan cheese!!!, Great range for everyone
Cons: Can be busy
