Delicious Homemade Meal - Edit
We were welcomed by the friendly owners into this homey all-vegan restaurant in a quiet residential neighborhood. They have a small menu of two lunch options - a daily special and a daily curry plate - with various size options for both options. We both went for the daily special, which happened to be rice with gyoza, a green salad, a noodle salad, pickled veggies, mushrooms and konnyaku, and miso soup, I got the regular size, and my husband ordered the large rice size. Everything was delicious, especially the gyoza - both the filling and the texture were superb!

A winner across the board - Edit
This restaurant has a homey and comfortable atmosphere. Not only that, but the owner is very sweet and even let me borrow her bike so I could go get cash and be able to eat there. They had my order ready by the time I got back, too. They will understand some english, but use a translator if you have a complex question. The food was absolutely delicious (I got the curry set) and well priced. They also sell vegan ingredients like soy meat and konjac. Take out is available too. Come earlier in the day if you want to try many options as they may be sold out by the end of the day. Definitely visit this restaurant if you happen to be in Koganei!

Great food and atmosphere - Edit
Hand’s down the BEST vegan restaurant in Tokyo! Nishimaki-san always brings local and seasonal vegetables into her cooking for a delicious and filling meal every time. The portions are plentiful and full of flavour. I love the tatami-style dining area, and the low tables for comfort. Upright sitting tables are also available for those who prefer them. The restaurant is open until 6pm, but sometimes meals will end before this time due to high order volume, so it is best to go for lunch or make a reservation for visits after lunch.

その日のランチメニューは、ベジ餃子をメインに、小鉢が2~3種類あって、ご飯と味噌汁。
どれも優しいお味で、でも物足りなくなくて、大満足でした!!

Japanese BIG vegetable meals - Edit
Vegetable lunch usually doesn't make me full, but Nishimaki Gohan's luch plate is filled with various kinds of dish and you can be fulfilled with it! I loved deep fried ko-ya tofu. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like your friend's sweet home.

Delicious vegan teishoku! - Edit
I have only eaten food from Nishimaki Gohan once and it was takeout, but it was so delicious! I really love vegan teishoku but one of my favorites closed about two years ago and is far from me. Meanwhile, Nishimaki Gohan is close to me and open! Yay! I hope to one day eat there in person (it is available if you want, I'm just sticking to takeout for now!)
