Delicious, amazing atmosphere and service

This place is amazing! The food was so beautifully presented, obviously cooked with care and with fresh and seasonal ingredients... 1 hour and a half of pure pleasure, you just don't want to see the last plates -- with the rice and hot tea -- come. The staff also provided details about the way each dish has been cooked, which made the experience even greater. Expensive, but worth it!

Pros: Incredibly delicious, Quiet atmopshere

Awesome Shojin Ryouri

Located inside a temple, it has a very calm and quiet atmosphere. They have one lunch sitting a day only -- need to call and reserve in advance. You can choose from about three course options (a regular course and then more expensive courses have additional items). They serve each course one by one explaining the dish and where the ingredients came from. The food is absolutely delicious.

Pros: Completely vegetarian and never fails to impress

Cons: Service can feel slow (especially if with child), only open for one lunch sitting a day

delicious vegan showing ryori

Really beautiful temple. The inside was ok. It was obvious that a lot of care was taken with each course. I think we had 8 courses and everything was delicious! They really incorporate a lot of the temple nuts and berries in the dishes. I will definitely go back. Really good authentic Japanese showing ryori cuisine.
