We have tried on numerous occasions to go to this place and can’t find anything about their menu or whether they’re open. Today we came to the Phoebus fall festival and there is absolutely zero vegan food offered so we thought we’ll try them again. Nope they’re closed for the festival even though they are not serving at the festival so thank you very much for letting us vegans down.

Peace and Blessings! We are a small business and vegan cafe. Our menu is listed inside store as well as on board outside our door when we are open. I also list our weekly specials on our social media page. Unfortunately I had a family emergency and was out of town during the Phoebus fall festival. I am always available via phone if you would like to know what is on the menu. We are open daily from 9-6 mon Tuesday Thursday and Friday - Wednesday from 9-2 and Saturdays from 10-6. Not sure which occasion you attempted to visit but we have been open and ready to serve delicious vegan food as well as juices and smoothies

I appreciate you getting back to me. I am sorry that you had a family emergency. That wasn’t what the sign on your door said. It said that you were closed due to the festival which made absolutely no sense to me. We had no food options at all during the festival so it was frustrating.

The sign on the door said to attend an event. Which was a family funeral. I didn’t want to put that on my door. Please understand I have only been open for 10 months and run the business 6 days a week alone but occasionally emergencies happen. I always post on social media and put a note on my door. The first year is always the hardest and out of 10 months this was my first negative review. Give small businesses some grace as we try to work on the kinks. My space is very positive and give each customer 100% of my attention so if the phone rings and I am making a sandwich or discussing healthy alternatives, I do not answer my phone. I do appreciate your feedback

I do have a menu which is posted inside the market as well as advertised on the app and on our social media page. Please give small businesses a break as we are not a major corporation.

Please understand, we have called at least 3 different times, come by, searched online and each time we have either had the phone not answered, no update online or a locked door.

I assumed, that as a new struggling business in a small town you would want and solicit feedback from people who match the product and service that you are trying to offer.

First my business WILL make it. Again if you frequent small businesses you must understand the first year is very difficult and the city does not make it easy. I also have emergencies just like anyone else.
Read moreI always answer my phone unless I’m with a customer. Currently I run everything until I can find suitable staff. If you followed my social media, you would see my specials and if I had to close which I have only closed early or for an entire day 5 times out of 10 months. I always put a note on my door as well on my social media page. Phoebus is full of small businesses that do the same.
Before you leave negative reviews, find out why. This affects the business as well as your economy.
I am very proud of my business and have regular customers who understand that right now it’s just one person running Native Soul Bar 6 days a week.
We are a positive establishment offering healthy chemical free organic food, juices and smoothies. You definitely have a right to your opinion but just be mindful that business owners have occasional emergencies that require them to close

I can’t wait to try other items here. You cannot go wrong with fresh juices, real smoothies, and healing food. The shop is a peaceful place with a knowledgeable owner and thoughtful, curated items on the menu and in the shop.
