Must-do vegan experience - Edit
Book the vegan cozido online and you can pick up a delicious meal from Maria’s kitchen which you can take to the geothermal cooking areas at Ribeira Grande or Furnas to put in the ground and cook for 5 hours and then take out and eat at the nearby picnic tables. Maria will give you full instructions. Our meal included locally produced vegetables, a tasty homemade vegan sausage, an amazing vegan chocolate cake, wine and all cutlery etc was provided. There are plenty of nearby walks and activities while your meal is cooking underground. A volcano-cooked vegan meal is a must-do activity for vegans on Sao Miguel!
