Very cheap! - Edit
Two other friends and I got three dishes, a bowl of noodles with a lot of veggies and a bottle of coke for a total of less than 120 baht. Food was good and flavourful. Go early, otherwise options are limited.

Old Favourite - Edit
Since 2000 I travelled very regular to the south on Mae Sot and the bus, Songteaw, would leave in a side street where to my delight a vegetarian restaurant was the neighbour. And a nice one it was. Whenever I missed the bus by 5 minutes, and I had to wait another 55 minutes before the next one would leave, I was happy as it gace ne time to eat.
Read moreI still eat here from time to time, it has hardly changed, apart from some fresh paint once in a while. The owner is the same friendly women, who you often can see at the market buying the ingredients for the next day.
This place is frequented by many staff working in the hospital as it is mostly a breakfast and lunch place.
Hihgly recomended.
Pros: Daily fresh dishes, enough choices and very cheap., Friendly owner and staff., Short waiting as food has already been prepared.
Cons: Location, although that also makes it a quiet plac, Choices run out if you get there a little late.

Nice food and restaurant - Edit
Very cheap restaurant with good and tasty food. You can choose rice (mix of white and red) with 2 curries (including tofu, fake meat and/or veggies) for only 25 baths!
Read moreThey also have a menu where everything is written in Thai and Burmese, same thing everything 20-25 baths.
Staff does not speak English but I can only recommend!
Pros: Cheap, Tasty
Cons: Curries may be cold

Best Veggie Diner in Mae Sot - Edit
Having tried all the veggie eateries in Mae Sot, this was my last to land on and is by far my favourite - I won't patronise the others again. With tonnes of variety, super-cheap prices, a restauranteur that makes it her job to look after you and long opening hours, my only complaint is that it's not open for dinner. A winner.
