delicious lunch

Very busy (best to book) little cafe. Vegan soup and a couple of vegan hot dishes plus at least one vegan sandwich. 4 vegan cakes: cinnamon bun with frosting; flapjack; biscoff brownie, snickers. High quality, good portion sizes, and very fair prices. Nice space, very welcoming, paintings on the wall for sale, also cards, locally-made jewellery.

Pros: very cosy and friendly, good hearty tasty food, decent prices

Cons: nothing really, so book ahead

Good Toastie

Really nice vegan cheese toastie (£7.50) and oat milk for coffees. They use Applewood Smoked cheese.
There was a couple vegan options for lunch (cauliflower tacos, soup, avocado toast, toastie) and some vegan cakes (cinnamon bun and flapjack from memory).

Really nice, maybe book ahead.

Pros: A range of vegan choices

Great place

We had a really fantastic meal here, freshly prepared, tasty, good options, beautifully presented and good value. My husband had the haggis baguette-simple yet so filing with the fresh baguette. I wonder if they make their own because it wasn’t your run of the mill baguette and it wasn’t hard like shop bought can be.

I had hummus and aubergine which if I’m being honest I wouldn’t usually order because it’s something I can make at home easily. I was so glad I did. It came with a lovely side salad and topped with dukkah and pomegranate and sour dough toast. Super filling and very satisfying to my tummy.

My daughter had the waffles that had lots of blueberries, ruhbarb compote, granola and vanilla ice cream. It was massive but my goodness it was lush and very rich.

I would definitely eat here again and bring friends. For rural Argyll (often very difficult to find quality vegan food or any at all) it is really worth going to if you re exploring mid Argyll.

everything was OK, not many vegan options

Went here for the waffles but they only do them on Sundays. The strawberry oat milk shake was ok but the whole strawberry was put in so I kept having to pick the leaves off of my tongue. My partner said his coffee was also ok. We also got millionaire shortbreads which tasted ok as well.

Vegan waffles were amazing

The best waffles I've ever had. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Plenty of vegan options. Vegan cheese for toasties, vegan ice cream for milkshakes, two vegan cake options (brownie or an apricot cake slice on the day I was there).
But you must have the waffles.

Pros: Waffles, WAFFLES, Coffee
